New iPads Don't Come With Apple Stickers in the Box

Pretty sure Apple has always included stickers with their products at least back to when the Mac launched in 1984 (if not earlier), so it technically dates back to Jobs' first tenure at Apple.
No one cares about the stickers. Just throw in a $0.30 polishing cloth and a $4 set of headphones.

kinda sad but makes sense. most people don't care about them and if it cuts waste then get rid of them.
In short, they're worthless.
I used to save those stickers from all my Apple products in a separate bin. When selling/upgrading the Apple product, I wouldn't include the stickers with the old one and instead keep it for myself. I had several dozen different stickers. White ones, several colorful ones from the iPod Nano chromatic lineup, big ones from a Mac, small ones from an iPhone, black ones, gold ones, silver ones, on and on.
After about 15 years of doing this, I thought it was getting silly so I figured I would list them all for sale - I think I tried on ebay, craigslist, and on this forum. No bites. If I recall, I think I ended up giving them away for cost of postage.
I don't even bother looking at them anymore. They stay in the box just as they were when I receive the product, and they're shipped off with the product when I eventually sell it or trade it in.
Apple employee: Imagine the materials, energy and waste that could be saved if we added user profiles so that a household could maybe share the one iPad!

This is so depressing, I'm going to need therapy after hearing this
Keep the stickers, lose the useless mini booklets of something no one ever reads.
Sometimes it feels like this whole "Green" thing is just an opportunity for businesses to charge more for less.
They should start making the stickers out of leather. Plastic problem solved.
Finally, the stupidest of all "traditions" is gone...
