Keep the stickers, lose the useless mini booklets of something no one ever reads.
I think they’re legally required to put those in there. As far as I know a quick start guide and certification information has to be included. The rest of the user manual is in the Books app.

Sad day for a ~50 year-old marketing tool... Apple should brand their boxes with "No Apple sticker included" message...
They can put a sticker on the box that says "No Apple sticker included" 🤣

I smell hypocrisy and virtue signalling here.

While I don't care about the stickers myself, if Apple wanted to save the environment they'd better have maintained compatibility with existing accessories such as the Magic Keyboard. Forcing many people to buy a new keyboard to replace a perfectly working one has a significantly more negative impact on the environment than including a sticker in the box ;-)

10s of thousands of Macs deployed over the years... I should be good for life.

I understand why they're getting rid of them, but as a kid I loved them. They're great for free advertising with the youth imo.

But how will I tell other drivers I am rich enough to afford all this stuff? They might think I am rocking a Fire tablet!

I remember when the stickers really meant something - it was a way to show that you had a Mac, and good taste. But now that Apple is not the underdog, and one of the biggest companies in the world, they make a lot less sense.
That, and most people just throw them out or leave them in the box anyways. They were nice to have as kind of collectibles, but this is the one thing I’m okay with Apple leaving out for the sake of environmental friendliness (unlike a charging brick).

Never had much use for them myself, but I know timmy-tightwad is happy! 🪙
When I was younger I would slap one on the rear passenger window of my car. These days I wanna be more incognito given how many crazy people are running around. Don’t want some blue haired nut job with a horseshoe in their nose yelling out that I’m an elitist. 😜

So, is this a future?
People in my thread here about “new” logoless iMacs said that I can put a sticker on the front. Looks like nope because it won’t come with it in a box I guess🤣

Sure we all can say “those are useless, blah blah blah, unnecessary waste” but… it was a small piece of old Apple culture, Apple inc that I personally used to know. There were even people who collected these stickers just for fun. Somewhere on the web there is even an image of a car that had its back fully furnished with thousands of these small stickers lol. It cost them 0.01$ and still they decided not to put them inside

I might have saved a few over the years, but we decided to de-junkify our house and all that stuff went bye-bye. Don't miss it.

No problem. Nowadays I can print them on my own - 2D and even 3D.

DISCLAIMER: Not interested to do so - but in theory I could. ;)

This would have never happened during the Jobs era, time for Cook to leave Apple. You know who else didn't have stickers? Compaq, Tim wants Apple to be like Compaq and we all know that ended. Apple is doomed.

Would be cool if the stickers were random designs, and like there's a chance you get a rare one. But I guess people would abuse Apple's generous refund policy just to get the rare ones.

Man I have dozens of these I've kept over the years — some black ones too. Time to eBay and retire.

I have the original Apple rainbow stickers that came with my Macintosh SE/30 way back in 1989
Those might actually be worth something.

If anyone ever asked me to summarize the Apple community's engagement, I'd point them to this thread. Can you even imagine a Microsoft/Android sticker discussion thread?!
