This makes me irrationally angry. I've collected many of the assorted color variants over the years (black for the trash can Mac Pro, gold for the gold MacBook, rose gold for the rose gold MacBook, etc) and although plenty of people throw the stickers out, getting rid of one of the unique niceties that Apple offers under the pretense of the environment (if Apple really was so focused on plastic, they wouldn’t have spent untold dollars making the FineWoven line of terribleness, which is literally made of plastic, "recycled" or not).

Like I know it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things, but it's another loss of those little touches that really did make Apple unique.

Another fun novelty/tradition/activity/etc ruined by the green agenda. I'm all for changes that have a positive environmental impact yet aren't noticeable because they happen behind the scenes or even if they don't, it's at least just as good if not perhaps better sometimes than what the new thing replaced. But come on, is anyone actually convinced that removing half a gram of plastic film from the product box will be the key to ridding our oceans of the endemic of trash contamination?

While the majority of my stickers have stayed untouched in their original boxes, there was just something special and iconic about them that I will miss moving forward.

Ah good, I only have to drive 176 kilometers to the nearest Apple Store so I can ask the clerk for my stickers.
Lucky! I have to go to a different continent.

They can put a sticker on the box that says "No Apple sticker included" 🤣
There's a brand of chocolate bar over here where they introduced new "recyclable" packaging, with "recycle me" printed on it. Then they found it isn't actually recyclable, so there's a "put me in the rubbish" sticker on top of the "recycle me" text.

Yup. It was fun.

I'm saving my black stickers from the "trash can pro". Did they include black ones with any other product? Never saw anything other than white with everything I ordered before the trash can.

Maybe, just maybe, this isn’t some green agenda or virtue signaling, but rather a more basic issue of Apple stopping including the stickers because they offer very little value (to Apple and the consumer). After more than a decade of putting stickers in every new Apple product box, especially when there are so many repeat Apple buyers, makes them effectively worth less (they’re not worth what they used to be). I’ve not done anything with any of my Apple stickers in at least the last 15 years - they’re all in the boxes I still have stored away. And I’m guessing this is true for a LOT of people, something that Apple would have realized as well. I’m all for Apple ditching all the paperwork in every product - it’s worthless to me and I’ve never gone back to look at any of the pieces included.

If it were about a ”green” agenda, they could make the same type of sticker using paper, water based adhesive and a recyclable coated paper release liner. I’d bet money that they actually went through the steps in costing out and testing paper stickers, but ultimately someone came to their senses and killed the project, ditching them entirely. They’ll ship all the existing stickers they had out to each store to give away as needed, so you can still get your $0.02 out of Apple, if you really want to “stick” it to them…

Let's do the math... a half gram times millions = millions of grams = thousands of kilograms... so yes, it makes a difference.

Why not include paper stickers or some kind of biodegradable plastic? Stickers are just a nice little bonus that adds fun to the product

If you really want a sticker, the report said you can still ask an employee for one while purchasing a new iPad Pro or iPad Air at an Apple Store.

Surprised that Apple hasn't tried selling them or making them a BTO option.

"Starting at only $29.99. Available in five different sizes with gloss, Nano-texture, and Pro options."

you can ask the staff when purchasing for stickers, not that hard. Personally, I never wanted one.

Boring decision for sure but did you see the ipad presentation? The company is full of stale and boring people fit to make this kind of decision. Products are still good, but I don’t expect any personality anymore.
