Thanks for the pics! I'm thinking of picking up the brown Apple Watch band, and this gives me a better idea of how the leather will look. I kinda like the rough look/feel.

Anyone with experience with the nomad and the apple case, does the nomad feel bulkier than the apple leather case? I loved the size of my apple leather case before it got damaged and I like the nomad but wouldn't want anything much bigger than the apple case.

I can't speak to feel of the case with a phone in it as I don't have my phone yet, but the leather looks and feels thicker to me on the Nomad than on the Apple, with the caveat that I haven't had them both in hand at the same time so I'm not 100% certain my observation is accurate.

I plan on using the Apple Leather case for day to day use but swapping out for the silicone one when I go to the gym or if it's a rainy day. I usually go the gym 5-6 times a week. Will swapping the case so much make it loose over time?

I've been using my 6 Plus case ever since launch and took it out quite a few times. Not sure about looseness, but you might (not so sure about this though as it's from personal experience, see next sentence) 'tear' the bottom left/right part with continuous removal. I developed a tendency to "play" with the bottom right side of the case and it 'tore' around 0.3cm, but it is still 100% usable and not visible to others.

Can't decide if I want to get saddle or black for my Jet Black iPhone 7. I currently have the spigen case with the clear back on my phone, but it doesn't work with the Jet Black because it will have air bubbles inside the case.

The silicon case will start to chip in the lower corners, and the leather case will probably develop some wear in those same spots. These cases were not really meant to be put on and removed often. If that is your plan, then I would get a different case.

I love my new saddle brown leather case. It's already developing a nice patina after 3 days of use.
Can you show it off some? I'm really debating between the Apple case and the Nomad. I kind of like that the Nomad starts a little darker, but the Apple case may age really well.

It's really hard to capture the true color. Also, the light really picks up that scratch. It's really not noticeable in person but I love the character anyways.

You can really see the color coming in on the edges and the back where my hand often is.

Following my previous posts, I stopped by BB today to check out their stock of Nomads. My observations:

-Almost every brown case looks and feels a little different, both in terms of texture, patterns, smoothness, color, etc. The differences aren't significant but they are noticeable. This is pretty typical, in my experience, with leathers of this type (Horween Essex/Dublin) and in my opinion gives each case a slightly unique and different character. None of the 6 other browns that I looked were as smooth as the one I received in the mail however - they all had more texture and more of a matte finish.

-None of the 5-6 other greys that I looked at had the same subtle shade gradations as the one I received in the mail. In fact, they all looked like solid black. All had very good finishes though - no bumps or other noticeable issues.

-The blue cases were REALLY nice looking and feeling. A very deep, dark blue. I suspect they won't patina much as they age because they're so dark however.

Ordered mine last sunday, i'm getting it today. I was wondering though...

On the case, do the inside of the buttons also has microfiber lining in order not to scratch the buttons on the phone?

I had the apple leather case on my 6 plus and when I first got it, it was slippery. It will get less slippery over time.

Yeah i mean this case looks incredible in absolutely every aspect, the metal buttons , the overall slim design etc its just a great case but i feel like it can slip out of my hand at any time. The open bottom is a bit of a worrying issue for me too but then again i don't see any alternative quality leather case available to purchase

I'm torn between the Apple leather and the Nomad. Nomad running a sale as of today with coupon code FS20. You can get it for $35 shipped which seems like a steal! May bite on that one.

For $15+tax less than the Apple leather case, the Nomad is an excellent option. I have the brown Nomad myself and I love it. The coverage on the bottom of the phone is what sold me. I got a scratch on the bottom of my 6 Plus that had the Apple leather case so having protection on the bottom was what sold me on the Nomad.

Do you think the Nomad would protect the phone form breaking if you dropped it from waist height onto hard surface?
