I used one for my iP6, mainly because it had full coverage on the bottom (note: the one you posted doesn't). I liked it. It was a little bit thicker than the Apple case, but I had no complaints. It held up great for 2 years. Here is a link to my review: The "leather" case I wish Apple had made.

The main thing with the knock-offs this time around is that they don't have the aluminum buttons.

Well I finally picked up my 7+ Saddle case from FexEx.

It came in a huge delivery box! I'm used to Apple packaging them in bubble mailer or small box.

I've also gotten into the habit of videoing opening packages in case something is awry.

Anyway, check out this box....12"x9"x6" for a leather case. I wonder how big the box will be when the phone arrives. You'd think they'd want to save space..

I've ordered a pack of 2 pens from Amazon that came in a box at least this size. Seems ridiculous to me, but maybe it's cheaper to have all the same sized boxes?
Although my iPhone 7 came in a smaller box than that, so who knows.

Also, FYI, you can still totally read your address through that sharpie as well as on that other envelope on the counter.

Just purchased a Tan leather case, I'm really liking the color. The packaging does it no justice IMO.

I'll take pics soon!

Edit: sorry for the way the pics look, had to resize on mobile.

I looked at the black nomad case in store and it is horrible looking at best with mediocre cutouts on the bottom that are not precise at all, the brown one looks ok and the blue one is the nicest of the 3 colors but I wish they made a great black case, for some reason the black one they had is just horrible

I have the midnight blue and it's darkening up as expected, which I really don't like. I'm thinking about swapping it for the saddle brown. Isn't the saddle brown lighter and more orange than the previous model?

Sea Blue is nice, but it's more of a baby blue according to another thread with pics. It could darken up nice though.

I have an Apple Leather (PRODUCT)RED case ready for when my Matte Black iPhone 7 Plus arrives, haven't opened it yet so might check it out this afternoon to ensure it doesn't have any terrible imperfections.

I noticed a lot of people seems to bash Apple on the overly large hole in the bottom of the leather case, you do realise this is so the phone can fit all docks without having to remove the case? Sure it compromises some protection to the bottom of the handset but I'd rather run that risk than having to remove the case every time I dock my phone on my desk when arriving at the office, when I dock the phone at home to sync it to my home PC or when I dock the phone on my iPhone/Apple Watch night stand to charge overnight. Each to their own I guess

I am also still torn. I like the storm grey, midnight blue and ocean blue.

I am not sure which one will suit my black iPhone best and will have the lowest amount of wear and tear?!

Unfortunately, I don't have an Apple Store close therefore any recomendations and photos are very welcome! Thx

Seriously? thats not an excuse to leave the entire bottom of the phone open and exposed to scratches in a leather case that costs 50$, i rather keep my phone pristine and NOT use a dock at all if that means for them to make a case that covers the entire bottom,

If you are wanting to keep your phone pristine then maybe the Apple Leather case isn't for you? It's designed about practicality and functionality for the end user and sometimes compromises have to be made to achieve this. For me it's the best case available as it maintains a professional look with a premium feel while offering enough protection for my daily use and is practical for docking in my car and other places around the home and at work ($50 isn't too bad, Vaja Leather cases can push $100+ just like a lot of the other premium leather cases available).

If max protection is your goal then maybe look at something from one of the following:-

http://www.speckproducts.com/apple/iphone-cases/iphone-7-cases.html
http://www.spigen.co.uk/cell-phone/apple-iphone/jet-black-series-for-iphone-7-7-plus.html/
https://www.otterbox.co.uk/en-gb/so...87&gclid=CJmv7_3aqs8CFVDLGQodB14IGg&gclsrc=ds

The problem here is you tend to lose that premium look and feel and add a lot of bulk to the handset but the protection level is far superior to a soft leather shell.

I buy the Apple leather case as well for the premium feel as well, there is no such case out there that gives as premium of a feel as the Apple leather, I have it installed now on my iPhone 7 plus and as much as I hate the open bottom I'm going to keep on using this case as there is no alternative, the Nomad leather case people have been suggesting above is not even in the same league as the Apple leather case as far as leather and build quality is concerned.

Fortunately, I have an Apple Store close by. On my way there now and really considering the sea blue because it has a nice pop to it.

Edit: No sea blues on the shelf, but online showed in store stock. Apple Store rep double checked inventory, stock was showing very low and confirmed none in stock. Oh well. I ended up exchanging midnight blue for saddle brown. I'm a happy camper and can always wait for sea blue to be available in store or order online.

I ordered the Sea Blue online. If you notice, everyday you wait, they push the expected ship date :). I might exchange my tan leather for the Sea Blue. That depends though. Really liking the tan :). I'm hoping it develops a look like the saddle brown, outside the box.

I have pics of my iPhone 6+ saddle brown months later if you guys want to see how dark it gets!

I disagree - the leathers are definitely different, but not on a qualitative level. It's personal preference. The Apple leather is more elegant/refined and the Nomad is more rustic/natural.

As for build, I do have to agree that the buttons put the Apple case above the Nomad, but that may or may not tilt the balance depending on how strongly you prefer the leather on one or the other and the additional bottom protection of the Nomad v the open bottom of the Apple.

I know apple has their 14 day return policy, but does anyone know if the leather case has to be in new condition? I was thinking about switching colors but mine has noticeable scratches and marks on the back after 5 days

Wow, does the saddle brown really darken up that much? It does look nice though. I'm loving the saddle brown so far.
Yeah... it takes time, but the oils in your hand, exposure to sunlight and the leather aging will basically completely change the color of the leather. I have the saddle brown for my 7 Plus... it's obviously very new, and not very attractive right now. Maybe a little orangeish. But patience is a virtue on this one -- 2-3 months in, it will start to look very different.

Sure does! I prefer the OG saddle brown color honestly. I'm hoping the Tan turns into an OG saddle brown down the line. Going to test it for a few days. I'll post pics a week later.

And you have a 14 day return policy, and a 1 year warranty. Wear on a leather case shouldn't affect the exchange/return.

I'm thinking of returning mine. It's the black one, and looks really great on my matte black iPhone 7, however I'm finding the leather very slippery. It's not so much of an issue for regular use, but I do quite a bit of gaming on my phone, and when I'm gaming in landscape mode, the phone keeps wanting to slip out of my hands. I'm thinking that perhaps the silicon case would be a better choice for me. I'm still have one more week to decide before my 14 day return period is up.
