Yea the exposed bottom thing is one thing that's got me considering returning my saddle brown for the brown nomad. That and after 6 days mine feels more slippery than when I first got it. That rougher texture of the nomad makes it easier to grip for me.

Anyone else seen a problem with the volume up button? Press it just a bit too far down and it presses the volume down button instead, Finding it a bit annoying. Do I have a dodgy case? Video: https://vid.me/iCDX

I can reproduce that!!!

Mine also has creases at the top and sides. Very poor quality for $50. Never had this happened with my 6 or 6S leather cases.

Tried it just now, no issue. Why are you pressing it like that? The buttons are connected to the same piece of leather...
Only pressing it like that for the sake of recording it - not the easiest thing to capture.

Mostly notice it when changing the volume whilst on the move with the phone in my hand. Apple have said they'll replace it but I'm not really pleased the quality of the case in general, might see if I can return for a refund.

I received the Jisoncase brown leather case today. I hate using a case, but it's pretty good, especially for the sale price of $18.99 on Amazon. I have one for my iPad that I've liked, and the iPhone case is similar. I've attached a photo of the patina starting on the iPad case. The leather-covered buttons are very responsive, way more than the nomad I tried out in Best Buy. The volume switch is about as hard to access as the nomad though. They also have black, blue, and red. It's very grippy as well. I'll probably rip it off and go bare after a couple days, like I always end up doing with cases. But at least I won't be out the $50 the Apple case would've cost when I do. If I knew I'd keep the case on, I would've got the Apple case. But $18.99 is hard to argue with.

Wow that Jisoncase looks nice for the price. Does the lip raise above the screen?

Very, very slightly. Almost not at all. Probably wouldn't protect it in a drop, but would keep it off a table when layed screen down.

Thanks I haven't been able to get my hands on a saddle brown leather apple case and I think I may try out this Jisoncase for a while before I decide to invest in the apple one.

I feel similar about going caseless so if I end up ditching it the cheap price will make it feel a lot better about having it in a drawer.

Picked up an Apple leather case in black tonight. I was febating between midnight blue and black and ultinately decided on black in the end. It looks really good on the phone and the buttons are very tactile but it is a tad slippery which im hoping will improve over the course of the week. Im also concerned about the bottom being full exposed and the potential for damage as a result if the exposure.

Well that didn't take long. After flipping the silent switch on and off a few times over the past 12 hours (most of which was spent sleeping), the leather has started to come unglued. My fingernail must have snagged it in one of my attempts to reach the switch. I guess I'll return it and just go caseless until I can get a used Apple leather case on eBay.

Which case this again? Not the Nomad right?

Already got some wear on the bottom of my Apple case after 2-3 weeks of use. Is this normal?

Just picked up the Nomad leather case for my 7 Plus and I am in love....case is so nice, editing my Youtube review as we speak.
Don't forget to post the link once your're done reviewing. I just ordered the Nomad in Grey from BB. I'm curious how it is because I do prefer the bottom of the phone to be covered.

ive had the brown nomad case from best buy for a week now. First and foremost they didn't pay attention to detail. I had to take a scalpel to a bunch of areas where the leather was peeling up around the cutouts. Bad quality out of the box. Second, all of the boxes i opened in store looked used. Right out of the box had tons of wear, scratches and marks all over it and nothing like the pictures. Id rather pay the extra 10$ for the apple case. Bottom coverage is nice but doesn't work with most 3rd party docks.

Yeah I had to pick and choose from the cases they had because it looked like someone purposely opened each case and scratched it or did some sort. I just found a good brown one and rolled with it. I have zero issues with peel ups around the ports and things and maybe that may be to come but out the box none at all. The brown case was the only one that looked like it has worn down already but honestly I love the look. The brown and black cases looked identical to a new Apple leather case so I think the worn look out the box only refers to the brown case. Not really worried about docks since I don't use one but I can see how that could be an issue for some I love the case out the box and feels it gives more protection than the Apple case, just feels thicker and more sturdy.

I took some kiwi leather polish to mine the day I got it because of all the scratches and wear on it. Now the case looks worn in and dark brown like a cocoa. Like the color but prefer the apple case.
