Yes I bought the silicone version last year and hated it. It looked and felt awful in comparison to the leather. I am thinking about the marine blue case. I think it will pop nicely against the jet black. I am not sure if there will be any in store tomorrow.

How is the midnight blue leather case compared to the black one for long term wear?

I think it's kind of misleading that the photo on the Apple Store shows no creases or folds whatsoever on the bottom corners but almost all the pics in this thread have them.

They're not that durable. On drop tests on YouTube the silicone case protects and withstands much better.

i don't know how many of you guys ordered the iPhone 7/iPhone 7 Plus in Jet Black but aren't you concerned the open bottom part of the apple leather case will create the opportunity for your iPhone's bottom part to scratch since it wont be protected? i love the apple leather case and have been using it on my iPhone 6 as well as iPhone 6s for the past 2 years and the open bottom has not been issue because the iPhone has a rather matte aluminum finish, however, i ordered the jet black iPhone 7 Plus this time and im sure you heard how easily that phone might scratch so i am going to get a different case this time around even though i would have loved to get the new Black Apple Leather Case but the open bottom will be an issue, i wish apple made a leather case that provided all around protection.

Im probably going to get this Spigen case for my new iPhone 7 Plus: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01GIWG3D6/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A2SFKRF5TPZMT5

Well, case No. 2 arrived yesterday and whilst an improvement over the first it's still not 100% perfect, however it's a keeper for now whilst the first goes back.

Interestingly (and backed up by my OH) the quality of the leather on the second one was a huge improvement. The second feels softer, is darker and more like the leather on my older cases. Whilst the first had a very strong leather smell, it looked like pleather compared to the new one. Apart from one natural looking mark (it is leather after all) the back looks fairly even.

The buttons seem better placed on the second and the camera cutout is neater (the first had a bit of flashing and bits of the microfibre hanging over).

However, as you can see in these pics, the corners are still creased (annoyingly more on the top edge than the first case).

As someone posted earlier, the pics on the store are near perfect, now I know Apple always bang on about how they only use real photos of products, but they're either choosing the best from the litter, but as I suspect (since the shape of the case doesn't change when changing the colour choice (or colour of the phone) then they're mocked up either with photoshop or as renders which is somewhat misleading!

Creases above power button and camera cutout.

Creases on corner again, nowhere near as bad as the first case, and certainly not as bunched up inside so shouldn't affect fitment.

Hmmmm now I am leaning towards the saddle brown. It looks very nice!

I really want that saddle brown but I'm just not sold on it with the MB 7+...wonder how the aging affects the black leather case.

What color phone?
Regular black Plus. I decided to go with the saddle brown. Already have a black here and a sea blue on order. Wanted to have a little variety. The storm gray box depicted the color as looking too dark which means to me it would eventually just look black anyway.

I'm still debating on the storm gray vs the midnight blue for my silver phone.

I just bought one for my new 7 Plus. The black one again. I like the black on black look. The new buttons are a nice touch. The Apple logo is also more stamped on/engraved/embossed.

My black leather iPhone 7 case does not fit correctly. The lower third of the case does not wrap around the edges and instead runs away from the iPhone. Not impresssed and will visit the Apple Store tomorrow.
