Midnight blue on the Rose Gold 7... a couple of weird creases that others have noted, but I'm fine with it. The aluminum buttons make a HUGE difference over previous leather cases. It's like clicking the actual buttons.

Can someone try a iPhone 6 Plus leather case on the 7 Plus?
I know the camera won't fit the cut out but I would like to see if I could get away with using it for a few days.
I doubt Best Buy will have stock and Apple Store isn't very close.

Jet black all the way!

It's weird, it looks dark but then lighter in certain light. If that at all makes sense! Lol

are you worried that your jet black iphone might scratch on the bottom part where the iPhone leather case doesn't protect?

I suppose this is a good place to post this.

I've had a couple of Apple's leather cases over the years and and they have all been great. The problem, in my mind, is that they don't really look like leather should.

The best leather, IMO, should have a well used look to it. Like a good old baseball glove, cowboy boots or motorcycle jacket.

Since an iPhone case typically isn't around for 10years of outdoor weather use like a motorcycle jacket. I've resorted to staining and aging my last couple of Apple leather goods.

Here is my 7+ Saddle Brown case that arrived yesterday (with a water drop on it)

Even though it's the darker brown and will eventually take on a broken in look.

I wanted to give it a head start.

I
Buried the case in some moist espresso grounds over night. Onnthe right is an iPad Air 2 cas I did a couple of years ago.(looks much darker in the picture than in person but gives an idea of the difference.

One night later.

I waxed it and rubbed out some of the excess stain to get a worn look. Which will only get better with age now.

Wow I may have to try this. So you literally just soak some grounds and bury the case in there, let it sit overnight, and then wipe it down?

Few pics of my (matte) black 7 Plus in Storm Gray case compared to my Space Gray 6s Plus in the black leather case. I've picked the black leather for the past 2 years so I was looking forward to the new color option and I definitely like it. I also appreciate the addition of physical buttons this year. Upon taking pictures I realized that the colors are basically inversed/inverted this time around with my choices. Black case with a gray phone and then a gray case with a black phone.

As a few others have alluded to, trying to find a perfect leather case is difficult if not impossible. I've been using Apple leather cases for a few years now and have found they all have imperfections. In fact, my 6s case started to 'bubble' on the sides a bit in the past few months - it may be visible in the photos. So while they are definitely a premium price ($50 in the states) they are slim, elegant, and most importantly help protect the phone. In a few months there will be small scrapes, nicks, and other blemishes on the case and you'll soon forget that it wasn't perfect to begin with. It also shows that the case is doing it's job - protecting your phone.

Not overly!

My space gray 6s has a couple of marks on the exposed bit at the bottom so will happen with either!

Does anyone notice that the case is kind of loose on the sides? I had this same problem when I put my 6s+ in the leather case when I first bought it, but squishing it together fixed it. This one just seems loose in general.

The storm gray looks really good. Now you have me questioning if I should keep the saddle brown case that I ordered...

wish i was as brave as you lol, i have the jet black preordered as well and the only reason im not buying the official apple leather case which i used on both my previous iphone 6s and iphone 6 is the open part on the bottom, knowing that the jet black finish is delicate from the early reviews made me not want to have a scratched and swirly bottom on my jet black iphone 7 plus.. i didnt care for the open bottom on the leather case with the iphone 6 and 6s because the bottom part is satin matte anyways and it rarely scratches

i personally ordered this case: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01GIWG3D6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

What do you think?

looks like its a great minimalistic case haven't received it yet

anyone has actual photo of the new colour - sea blue?
I don't think they're even out yet. I ordered one with my phone the minute preorders went live and it was at 1-2 week delivery. My local stores aren't getting any till the first week of October. Mine could be here as early as Tuesday.

I was waffling between Storm Gray and Sea Blue for my forthcoming matte black 7 Plus... settled on the blue. I'm used to bright colored cases and I'm worried the gray would camouflage itself when I set it wherever, or be hard to find in my purse

I did have one of those on order in case (no pun intended) I couldn't get the storm grey one I wanted. Looks like a nice case!

As for scratches, I feel loads better after having seen the demo ones in store, didn't see a mark on any of them and they were being handled loads!
