Just an update - Apple support still cannot resolve this issue. How unbelievable is that? I have asked the support contact to escalate this within the engineering dept. which they say is where it needs to be resolved. I don't know if others still have this but I do. Tim Cook will soon be getting a call. Apple is losing its luster among many of its faithful.

Check with people in your region, it may be a regional change.

Not sure what you mean. Apple told me the engineering team has been investigating this issue since Dec. 31 of 2016. If it was regional other would be complaining but no one who had the issue here has reported if it is fixed or not. Time to ship the email thread off to senior Apple management

I'm having a similar issue for two months now, that the My Favorites Mix reverts to a two months old playlist randomly, it restores the current one upon force quitting the app, also happens on Apple TV (have to restart the system to get the correct playlist). Sent feedback, and since it happens on the iOS 11 beta, sent feedback through there too.

I am still working with Apple on getting mine to work correctly (since 12/31/16). Works for a week then loses the New Music mix.

Hi! Just wanted to say I came across your post because I have the exact same issue. Am in the UK, and it just started happening on Friday. And like you, if I ask Siri to play My New Music Mix on my Mac it works (though the mix doesn't appear under my recently played), but on my iPhone it starts playing the first song listed alphabetically.

So far Apple's Twitter support has been less than stellar with their help - it seems as if they are using some sort of keyword search and returning pre-written answers.

Yes that's how mine started out. Its still an active ticket since 12/31/16. About 3 weeks ago, when the Chill Mix was added, I got the New Music mix again for about 2 weeks. But going on 3 weeks now and I do not have it.

I asked my apple tech to escalate this issue within engineering, since that's where its been all this time. It seems all the Apple techs are afraid of upsetting engineering..... seems like a touchy subject. If it were me, I be banging down their door.

I will post here if/when it gets fixed. (Tech said the only way MAY BE to delete my account for 90 days are re-subscribe - WHAT and loose all my music???)

BTW, you may ask them to look for a similar ticket going back over 9 months to see what's been done.

I have the same issue, it just started last week! On both iOS & macOS. It also persisted after updating to the iOS 11 & macOS High Sierra GM builds.

It does show in my recently played though thankfully but not at the top where it should be along with Favorites Mix & Chill Mix.

I don't even want to try contacting Apple Support as it sounds like there's nothing they can do...

I feel your pain. Its not iOS or macOS relative. Its a problem with your account and AppleID. I would still put a ticket in so others will know and Apple has another dissatisfied customer.

Hey guys, just to tell you that I have the same issue : French beta tester here, on iOS 11 beta my « new music mix » disappeared last Sunday. It used to work great before that day... maybe a general issue for beta testers ?

Thanks for chiming in. Not sure if the beta cause the issue, but the Apple tech asked me to update to iOS 11 to see if the New Music mix returned..... NOPE!

I've been having the same issue for the past 6 weeks or so. On hold with Apple support as I write this. They seem completely flummoxed, even though this is clearly a known issue. Based on the replies here, I'm not holding my breath for a fix tonight. Like so many of the posters in this thread, I'll update if I manage to get the problem resolved.

Well that didn't last long. The New Music Mix playlist vanished again! I got back in touch with the Senior Advisor that was helping me so he can continue the research. He said they have had other reports of this issue and engineering is confirming it is on Apple's end. (Which we obviously know at this point)

I don't mean to be mean, but misery loves company. As I have stated its 10 months and Apple hasn't fixed it yet. Hearing that advisor say its on their end is more than an understatement. What still boggles my mind is why they spend (what seems like) five minutes on the problem and move on. I'm sure we are <0.1% experiencing this but not putting the resources/time to resolve this is crazy. And trust me I have tweeted Tim Cook and all of his senior staff without any resolution.

Senior advisor on my case is now saying that the engineers state this is "normal" because I need to listen to more music to have it generated. I don't buy it. Especially the New Music Mix is supposed to expose me to new music.

Only because it appeared back for a short time a few weeks ago do I now have it in my recently played list, where I can access it and it is still updated.

Okay, this seems like a BS answer to me. My mix just disappeared today; never had this issue before until today. I use both Spotify and Apple Music and this past two weeks I've been listening to Apple Music much more than normal, so why would mine go away after about a 4x usage?

THEY ARE WRONG. They said the same to me months ago. They even asked me to select/follow more artists/genres but it did not work. I listen to new music each day, adding songs I like, and I still am missing it. Tell your advisor of my findings. You are not alone.

Add me to the list as well. The new music playlist is missing, and my chill playlist did not update the past sunday.
Interesting. Since the Chill mix was added 2 months ago, it has updated each Sunday. And the favorites has always worked. Wonder how many more users who don't even know about this?

I was able to restore My New Music Mix this morning following approach suggested earlier in the tread: say "Siri, play My New Music Mix". After listening to 1 song My New Music Mix showed up on all my devices. So approach still seems to work. I have iOS 11.0.2. The My New Music Mix was missing for couple of month before that.

Not being a debbie downer, but I did that too and although it appears again, it will disappear once again. And in my case, didn't make a difference overall.

Oh - My New Music Mix appeared this morning after what seems like about a 6 week absence. I didn’t do anything - so hope it stays. Interestingly it doesn’t appear as a Mix I can sync to my Apple Watch....

Same for me, it appeared this morning and can’t sync to Apple Watch. This is the 2nd time it has reappeared again after it disappeared for the first time.
