Did you get the $14 deal? I got the $1 deal and now I'm convinced I'm getting a rev1.

That won't work. Right now, the sleep/wake button and camera are lined up perfectly. So, if you "push it in further" you may be able to finally get the headphone and mic to line up, but then you'll lose alignment of the sleep/wake and camera. But, hey, what do I know? I'm just a fairy.
 
Maybe if you put your Yoobao under your pillow, the iPad case fairy will replace it with a case that actually is properly designed. I think Yoobao might get it right at revision #32 but I will probably be dead by then....;)

It would make sense Amazon is fulfilling with only rev 2 cases. Perhaps I'm reading to much into this but either way it seems strange so many of you are getting rev 1 cases this week.

I got the $14 deal from AYL on Amazon.
It shipped directly from the seller by USPS but I am in California so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with the shipping method.
Also I got the version 2 and the ports line up.

The black case I received from AYL yesterday has a combination of both:
- No 3 color-bars on the front bottom right
- Chinese characters on the top flap

I'm not sure which version is the one I just got from AYL.
I compared this box to the one I received from another seller last month, both top flaps have Chinese characters; the UPC numbers are the same as well (6 950566 170447). My older one has 3 color-bars on the front bottom right though.

I tried to push my ipad all the way inside the case, the headphone & MIC are still a bit misaligned. The smell isn't as strong as the old one right out of the box. Don't know if this means anything, but the foam inserted inside the case has a cut-out rectangular hole in the center; a AYL card is attached inside the box as well.

Ok, we got the package info, but what about the case??
smelly? soft leather? fits the cutouts? color?

Without special equipment I cannot force the iPad 2 in any harder without risking ripping out the stitches at the other end. It's poorly cut. End of story.
 
I was just about to buy this after reading the thread. However with all the revisions it appears that you need a Yoobao doctorate in order to figure out:

1) how much to pay due to price revisions
2) the version of the case you may receive and if it is cut properly
3) who to buy this from given some of the recent remarks about AYL.

I'm out, this isn't worth my time or money.
 
My case arrived, usps. I cant tell if its rev 1 or 2? No smell at all, just a faint leather smell, like a new pair of shoes.

It was in a plastic bag in the box, had a leather hang tag, some foam with a sqaure cutout with one of those dry pacs.

Alignment ok, the headphone jack maybe a tad off but mostly vertical, its close to centered.

sleep wake works fine, does this mean its a rev 2? Either way for $14 im thrilled, maybe for $40 not so much but would still like to know what I have?

Box does not have any bars on it, lower left corner is a silver sticker.. says www.yoobao.com on lower flap, upper flap has some chinese writing and what looks like a lightning bolt in red?

Same here. I was lucky enough to snatch up one of the $1 cases. No sleep problem, great leather smell. Not perfect alignment, but hey I paid $1 for a $40 case so no complaints here.
 
got mine today, box and even the case has english yoobao written on it, and leather flap, silver hologram on the left bottom corner.

now the good news, very very faint smell, and it fits perfectly. you have to make sure to completely slide the ipad in.

happy so far, dont see any issues.

Even though the headphone port is not aligned right, I still think it's a keeper. I am tired of trying to find a case that has everything. This one is cheapest I've tried and first one I can tolerate and keep. Speck Pixelskin was too heavy (that cover!) and Marware CEO hybrid too difficult with the impossibly tight clasps (not sure if mine was defective) Since it's soft leather with the yoobao, I can tug at the leather enough to plug in a headphone, so not a big deal really.
 
I thought mine was off but tried the headphone jack and it's fine. The jack doesn't sit close to flush so the case doesn't have to be spot on.

If you purchased from ayl they are great, responsive and I'm very happy. Also the $14 case I got was rev 2 so no worries they aren't sending the old ones to those who got the good prices.
 
Brown or black

I have a brown version 2 and the headphone jack alignment is poor. I need to pull the case out of the way in order to fully seat my headphone plug into the jack.

For the people that do not have the headphone jack alignment issue, is yours black or brown?

I have brown one too and the headphone port is not aligned well either.

Something else to note. I removed the iPad from thr case this morning and noticed an indentation all the way around the screen protector. Appears to be from the stitching on the inside. Not very happy right now. Anyone else have this problem. Too bad, I really liked this case.
