To me it's not the screen size that decides whether or not I feel the device is too big. It's the size of the phone as a whole. Going by the renders made so far, the N6 will be wider than the 6 Plus but also significantly less tall. That tells me that the phone isn't humongously big in any way. About the same size as a 6 Plus - just wide instead of tall.

The thickness we know nothing about. The photo tells us nothing because there's a case on the device. But this will of course be a decider. If the N6 turns out to have a similar middle-to-edge thickness ratio of the Moto X (thick in the middle, very thin at the edges), then I'll personally be fine with the size.

In terms of aesthetics, the renders make it look like nothing more than a swollen Moto 4 2014. I'm not in love with that. But we all know how much very small details can change things. Some of the iPhone 6 dummys had slightly thicker side bezels than the real thing - a very small difference, yet the real phone looked so much better when it finally came. So I'm not going to pass judgement because of a few renders based on rumours or partial information.

I'm really excited to see this thing. If they've managed to squeeze a 6" screen into a footprint no larger than a slightly wider and perhaps thicker Note 4 with a rounded back, then I'm game. Given that Android L doesn't turn out to be crap of course.

The 6 Plus is enormous though. I have no interest in a phone that's more than a few mm bigger than the N5. I can use the N5 with one hand, I need to be able to use it with one hand.

I feel the same way about the 6+. If this phone is even remotely close to that size, it is HUGE! The moto design can help with the curve, but it is also something that may be hard to try in store before you decide to buy it.

If it can break away from the standard nexus phone in terms of battery, I will consider it. If it is 6" and still struggles to get 14 hours on battery, it is definitely a no go.

I actually think it's bigger than the 6 Plus in all aspects. From the picture I think it's taller and wider. It will also weight a lot and be bulky because the new Moto X isn't exactly very thin.

Are you talking about the N6 or Moto X?

Where are these dimensions coming for the Nexus 6? The leaked photos shows a phone that's taller and with more bezel compared to the carved out piece of wood sample.

^ That size comparison is just really depressing.

One handed use is a must for me and I had the Nexus 5 which I could barely use with one hand. Bought a Spigen case for it and it was too big for one handed use.

Guess I'll be skipping the Nexus 6, unless some kind of miracle happens.

The renders were made by the news website I think, right? They're not official renders leaked I think.

They're definitely not official. It's more or less a render based upon the rumors that we have.

good to know. I thought they were based on a leak of a device. I like the renders, but not the phone on the bus. It looks too tall for me personally.

Look at the bezels. They are huge, even if you take out the case.

Honestly they don't look that big to me. Especially if you compare with the 6+ lol. I'm not going to get my knickers in a twist until I see this thing in the flesh, or at least a better photo.

I was just reading through some recent posts from TK Tech News, and he says that the new Nexus will be based on the Moto S, which is launching as a Verizon device and will be available on AT&T after two months.

He also says that there is/was going to be a 5.2-inch Nexus, but it may have been scrapped.

http://tktechnews.com/2014/09/30/moto-s-and-nexus-are-they-the-same-device/

The Nexus version of the Moto S will NOT have a Motorola logo in that big circle on the back. But unless something drastically changes will look like the device we have already seen leaked with minor changes.

This is good news at least, that M logo looks terrible on the new Moto X. Or maybe it's more that odd ring flash that does it, those two big circles next to each other just don't look good at all.
