The reason you need good credit is your walking out with a very expensive phone you have only promised to pay for. They have a huge risk. Payment history of past debt is important.

Yep. The worse the credit rating, the more they make you put down up front.

You know with TMobile you only need to pay off half of the price of the phone to be able to upgrade again. You don't have to pay it off. Your wasting money with Jump if your paying them off since you also pay them $10 a month to have it
I'll clarify. I'm an expert on jump because I always read and study any contact I enter into.

With jump once it's half paid for like you said, one is eligible to upgrade. When you upgrade you give them the original phone back in exchange for the New phone.

I paid full retail price for an iPhone so I owned it. I then sold it for $325 MORE than I paid for it. The buyer was my wealthy surgeon friend who didn't have the desire to wait and try to get one on his own.

Easier for him to voluntary offer me the substantial profit so he could have the phone and I'm still using the original phone I got 18 months ago.

The other benefit for me is I'm still eligible for a new jump phone at any time.

Everyone wins and got what they wanted. :)

I have seen crazy burn in on the S5's at best buy. Though I suspect that had to do with static images and the really high brightness that insist on using.

Not to mention those displays sit on the same screen for a large part of the day.

I just saw his video recording review. Now I'm getting skeptical, stabilization looked horrendous and the video was grainy. I'm hoping this is fixable in a software update.

I wish youtube didn't compress the video, or offered full rez download. The highest resolution you can watch the video in is 720p, while the phone defaults to 1080p. So it is hard to tell if youtube is converting or if he actually took the video in 720p.

I seem to recall reading somewhere that Google Camera app doesn't use OIS when taking video, I'll see if I can find it.

I would assume it would, otherwise that would be a big misstep on Google's part.

Yeah, I can't seem to find where I saw that reference, but it would seem silly to not use OIS to stabilize video as well as stills.

But you know google, sometimes they do things that make no sense to the rest of us (like hiding timelapse in the new camera app when the old one had it).

I am currently debating trading someone my iPhone 6 Plus for a brand new Nexus 6, the image quality is real big for me since all other previous stock android devices never had great image processing.

I'm coming from an HTC One M8 and am thinking about getting the nexus 6 but have not been able to see one in person yet. My question is how long did it take you to get use to a 6" display? Was it a little awkward at first? Also does it fit in your pocket well? Thanks.

It fits fine in the pocket. As for getting used to it, it was easy for me, as I had the G Flex earlier this year. From the G Flex, I went to the G3, but wound up missing the larger display of the G Flex. One I received the Nexus 6, I was back in big screen heaven once again. Oddly enough, the Nexus 6 doesn't feel as large as the G Flex (which also has a 6" screen). With the ergonomics the Nexus has, it really doesn't quite feel like a phone with a 6" display at all. With that being said, I don't think it will take you long to get used to it, but then again, that may also depend on what device you're coming from.

Even with the devices (minor in my opinion) shortcomings, I ordered one and will finally get to try out Lollipop on this beast Monday. Wonder how it'll stack up against my 6 Plus.

Great questions. Jump is 9.99 per month. Besides the early upgrade program it also provides insurance including damage replacement even if it's my fault. Upgrading is turning in my phone for another new phone with no cost to me. Once you pay the first month of jump if you aren't wanting to upgrade in the future they'll reduce your bill by $9.99 Mo. I like the program. Use 25 GB of data unthrottled every month, it benchmarks faster than my AT&T LTE. Very impressive.

The reason you need good credit is your walking out with a very expensive phone you have only promised to pay for. They have a huge risk. Payment history of past debt is important.

OK so Jump costs you an additional $120 / year. Wouldn't you have been better off just paying full price of the phone without jump and then reselling it to your wealthy surgeon friend who couldn't qualify for credit at TMobile?

It sounds like you are paying for insurance on the phone that is no longer in your possession at you sold it to him?

edit: Oops..just saw that you paid full price. So Jump program wasn't being used. Nevermind.

My Nexus 6 is a terrific smartphone.

But so is my iPhone 6 Plus I happen to be using to compose this post.

I enjoy both platforms and take into consideration that theres enough differences between the two operating systems to render comparisons somewhat irrelevant. It boils down to individual preferences and how you use your smartphone.

Frankly I don't think you can go wrong with either. Carrying two phones is my preference therefore it makes sense for one to be Android and one iOS.

I got the 6 Plus at launch and decided to pick up a Nexus 6 a few days ago to see which one I liked better. Ever since then, the Nexus 6 is growing on me and I can't even imagine going back to the limited functionality that iOS offers.

I love how simple and elegant iOS is, but Android Lollipop offers the same simplicity and elegance by default. I'm not someone who roots their phone, installs different ROMs or does extensive modifications to their phone, but sometimes I do like to tweak how my phone works, because I use it more than any other device. With the Nexus 6 and Lollipop I have options and it's refreshing.

iOS 7-> Touchwiz s4-> Touchwiz (rooted and modified with Xposed) Note 3-> Lollipop Nexus 6. That has been my os progression.

By far the best UX on a mobile device for me. First time I've been able to put an android phone in a non-android persons hand and they not look at me like a deer in the headlights. If Motorola can fix the camera on their devices and continue the stock look and feel they will have a winner for sure.

So has anyone with a N6 looked in the accessibility options and played with color correction?

Just tried it and it seems to work. I'm not color blind, though, so I don't know how accurate it is. Theres 3 options.

I'm tempted by nexus 6 as a tablet on the go type option. Never had a nexus

Would you guys think it's worth it? I love my note 4 but I would like to try the nexus
