I looked around yesterday and two T-Mobile stores told me it is very limited, it needs to be ordered with no estimate delivery date and only a few select stores will actually get stock for the store.

Nothing yesterday at three AT&T stores.

If you think I have to run around and go out of my way a good distance, nope. Where I live you don't want to. So many retailer stores, restaurants, etc. Traffic on the roads all the time.

Can anyone else confirm that their phone has a little "hole" near the top right of the rear camera flash ring? Didn't notice it until this morning and initially thought it was chipped. Went to the AT&T store and the display model has it in the same place. They didn't have any other units in stock so I couldn't check any others.

I'm assuming it is part of the design to help let in light or something but I know nothing about cameras.

Helped to write this up......

How to make your AT&T Nexus 6 just like one from the Playstore

Nice community effort. Curious why even bother with the hassle when you can get an unmolested by ATurd&Turd Nexus 6 from Tmobile, Google and Motorola? Is it because of subsidy pricing or availability?

My guess would be impatience. ;)

Haha partly. In my case, I didn't initially plan on getting it but by the time I decided I wanted it, Moto and Google were sold out. Would have bought it from T-Mobile but happened to get lucky at the first ATT store I went to last night. I bought it outright and my account is in good standing, so I shouldn't have an issue getting it unlocked.

Are the carrier models any different from the stock option? I'm definitely not getting mines from any carrier. When it's time to upgrade I want a seamless experience straight from Google without any delays.

The OS is the same as the factory image you can download from Google. However, at least on the ATT model, there is an extra partition named OEM. It houses a special splash screen that plays during boot and some other things like ringtones. It can be deleted and all traces of ATT will be gone. See the link posted by jamezr.

Nice, maybe the Verizon variant will be the same. If this partition gets deleted will it receive updates straight from Google?

Mine is no different the the one from the play store. No carrier bloat. Updates straight from Google. No branding....

Except for the awful Death Star on the back at the bottom. ;)

I know many don't care but I persoanlly hate the carrier branding and as much impatience as I generally have when it comes to get new gadgets, I'll wait if it means I can get unlocked/developer editions with zero ties to any specific carrier--my little pet peeve, I guess. :D

Took a couple of pics today......

Pics looks nice jamezr. For me though, the real test is photos of moving objects (I have three young kids ;)) and pics in lower light. Most mid to top end smartphones these days can do justice to bright, static shots.

Thanks for the tip......installed it. But its a little hard to see....

It can be hard to see yes but it gets easier to read when it's white over grey which is when the battery is below 30% or so. That's when it starts to matter, at least for me. It will get the job done for now until Rovo89 hopefully delivers Xposed for ART and GravityBox gets updated.

My main concern is the screen. How good is it? Can it go as bright as the SGS5, Note 4 or previous Nexus 5?

Is it too saturated? I've read people on XDA complain of the Moto X1 screen because colors are too saturated and there's no way to turn it down a little bit like on the Samsung phones.

Those two are my main concerns.

Then I would also like to know about cell reception and GPS performance/accuracy/speed finding location.

Changed DPI to 380 for a bit to play around in "tablet mode" and it's not bad on this screen size/resolution. Might keep it this way if my eyes don't strain too much.

Watched a few on mine and they look awesome. Screen is gorgeous. You have to sideload a new version of the YouTube app first, though, in order to get the 1440p option.

You have an apk link for the new version of YouTube? I have a G3 and for now would like to check videos for that resolution until I can get a Nexus 6.
