How about non-synthetic benchmarks like Epic Citadel or Anomaly 2 with max graphics settings? Those are the only ones I trust since they're based on real game engines.

All this talk and nobody sharing...let's see some pics of that beast!! ;)

Got mine this afternoon. After two generations of Samsung devices, I can appreciate stock android. It really is a great user experience. I've had a couple of friends ask what on earth was I using. When I told them it was android, they couldn't believe it.

Doesnt feel big at all.........LOL, c-mon people. The Nexus 6 is friggin HUGE! Its bigger than the Note 4 which imo, .....is HUGE!
LOL….i used to think the Note line was too big. Then I got the Note 4……i got used to how functional a large device can be. I hardly pickup my iPad since the N4……but really the Nexus 6 doesn't feel big…its feels great in the hand. I thought it would be too wide but not at all. :)

I've had my nexus 6 for a day and am now starting to get used to it's size. It felt big and heavy at first but that's because it is bigger and heavier than my last phone....After a day I'm already not noticing it, you just need to get used to it. It's a pretty fantastic device. .

Frankly, Note 4 looks huge when in display screen beside smaller phones, but once having it in hands and using it you end up asking for even bigger screen : i manage to use it with one hand most of the time.

You obviously haven't been near one.

I don't have to be. It's bigger than the Note 4....which is huge. I don't need to talk myself into getting one because I already know if is to big for my liking. It may feel a certain way but the fact is it is a damn big device and the Notes have always been to big for me.

Subjective much? The big screen is probably the ultimate reason why I want the Nexus 6 and why I never bothered with the Nexus 5, Moto X or any other pure android device under 5 inches.

So no, you do not talk for everyone.

Agreed.

The build quality is superb...tops the note 4. Everything about the phone is great so far.

Sometimes, for reasons unknown, falsities like the above spread when a phone is released. My theory, is it spread by people who want a particular phone to fail/be less good than the phone they picked.

Don't really understand why people can't just enjoy what they got.

I'm unlikely to get any hands-on time soon, so can anyone tell me if the camera has a selective focus mode akin to the Note 4? It's where the background gets blurred (bokeh'd), kinda like how a DSLR might take a shot.

Frankly, it's an awesome feature that has blown me away with the results (as has the rest of the camera and video).

Just wondering how the Nexus stands up as camera quality and performance are a major selling point for me.

Might try to pick one up tonight. Haven't had any luck talking to AT&T stores, but one of the T-Mobile stores I called is expecting a shipment today. We'll see.

You guys are killing me...lets see some photos of it in action, next to other devices, etc. I need to live vicariously through all of you or my wife will kill me when I get one for myself. ;)

<5" is like 16GB flash on phones and is way too small. I'd say 5" is the 32GB, 5.5" 64GB and 6" 128GB. Having progressed from 2.5" > 4" > 4.3" > 5.5" > 5.7" they have never felt too big. The limit is my straight leg pants pocket and there's still room even with 5.7".

I'd like to see the industry continue fitting a bigger display without increasing the physical size like the 5.7" Note 3 and 4 that's physically smaller than the 5.5" iPhone 6+. Samsung has already demoed transparent display so they could potentially reduce further or eliminate the bezels by embedding the camera and other sensors and fingerprint scanner into the display and optionally go with capacitive buttons. When you take a shot or scan your fingerprint that portion of the display temporarily becomes transparent. Hopefully, we'll see this in 6" Note 5.

Just picked one up from AT&T. They did slap their logo on the back (see attached pic) but none of their apps are preinstalled -- though they did drop a line saying they weren't sure if they could sell it to me because corporate said it didn't have the correct software on it. I told them I was just going to flash the factory image and root it anyway so they finally agreed to sell it to me. So maybe they will eventually come preinstalled.

About to root it now. Will post more pics and impressions tonight/this weekend.

It does. The blur feature is built into the stock camera app. It is called "lens blur"

Couldn't agree more. Felt exactly the same way when i went from the GNexus to my Z1 barley noticed a difference. i'm now comparing the dimensions of my Z1 to the 6+ and the differences is quite negligible despite the fact that the 6+ is packing a larger screen.

Bigger displays and smaller footprint. its one of the very useful design trends manufactures have been adopting and should be commended.

Got my AT&T N6 Thursday…had the BL unlocked and rooted within 10 minutes. Installed TWRP and made a backup….got my sim unlock code and now it is on Verizon and working like a champ! :) LOVE this phone so far!
Lollipop is so smooth and provides a great user experience. I took a couple of pictures and they look every bit as nice as my Note 4. I will post some later today. I am impressed so far. One minor complaint so far is some widgets will not let me resize them. I use the Apollo Music player and widget. It will not let me resize the widget. All others will resize to fit the width of the screen but this one doesn't. But that is no big deal…….

Head over to XDA if you want to turn off the encryption and/or turn on LED notifications.
Thanks...... am a regular over there. The encryption is a non issue for me. The benchmarks are awesome with encryption. I have no performance issues.
The LED light is a work in progress. The Dev for LightFlow has been extremely helpful on XDA to get the LED light working.
The N6 is such and great phone.....but wait for more devs to get it and start to do their magic.
One little annoyance is no battery percentage on Lollipop.....
