This definitely doesn't happen on mine, they are the same as the day I got the phone and arranged them.

I've rearranged them back to the way I like. Hopefully it doesn't change again.

I wonder if it has anything to do with having the feed on...

Huh, wonder why the reviews say no then. Think I'll order it, can always return if it doesn't work.

Is it my imagination or does the quick toggles change order on their own in the pull down shade?

I really can't tell if I'm losing my mind with these "features" of the pixel launcher or not.

I'm pretty positive my toggles' arrangement got changed on their own. I don't ever use "Do Not Disturb" toggle. I took it off day one. Now it's back there somehow.

WTH?

It's never happened with mine. Take a screen shot of your toggles as you want them, compare every couple of days if you think something is out of order. Could be a bug specific to your handset.

Yup, I did just that. We'll see. So strange.

Give the keyboard time. I'm of the opinion that the iOS and Google keyboards are 1 and 1a in keyboards.

On support, I'm usually very bullish on Apple support but I needed a genius bar appointment recently and my local store had zero for THE YEAR. Not cool.

I've been fairly quite of late all, simply busy with work before the holidays. Lots of design and illustration work to finish.

Anyway - just have to say I am loving the pixel. For me it's the closest to perfect android handset. If they had made it waterproof and an SD Card it would be perfect.

I've had a clean out of my handsets now too so I sold my S7 and my HTC 10. I kept the Honor 8 which I really like as I'm getting great performance with it on Nougat and it's nice to have a phone that didn't cost the earth when I'm using it in the gym or whilst exercising.

Between the Honor 8, the Pixel and the iPhone 7 - I'm in a happy place with all three :)

To set it to weather you have to set the google now card to display weather in your 'current location' on the GN screen.

If it's set to a specific location only you will only get date on the home screen rather than weather info.

I'll try this, thank you. It should be easier to set my preference on an Android device.
[doublepost=1481573028][/doublepost]
I'm terrible with the google keyboard, I make so many mistakes but it's the best one for android I think.

I love it. New update actually coming soon:

http://www.androidpolice.com/2016/1...r-row-multiple-active-languages-apk-download/

Also, speaking generally, it's crazy awesome that Google pushes updates to their core apps like this. This device feels like it's always improving.

Version 6 of the new G board keyboard is phenomenal so far. Still reigns as the best smartphone keyboard to me.
[doublepost=1481574577][/doublepost]Just got the 7.1.1 update and yes, full software updates happening in the background is a nifty feature. I was still getting messages and using my device. Then got an alert saying it was ready for a reboot.

Simple and fast.
[doublepost=1481574895][/doublepost]@MRU I'll be honest, I still don't know how to set the permanent weather widget.

Where do I go to make sure it's going by my current location and not a set location?

Thanks.

Hello mate,

Good to see you're still alive :p

Pixel is great, really enjoying it, just wish it had better speakers! :(

I am getting ever closer to jumping ship to the Pixel (until the next iPhone comes out).
I have given the iPhone 7 to the wife (shes likes it and I got a little bored = win/win) and will use her iPhone 6s and my Nexus 5X to part fund my Pixel purchase (to justify the extornate Pixel cost)! :)
The only thing stopping me now is the Google Store UK is out of stock on the black version.. only silver in stock (no blue in the UK)!
Any opinions on the colours from current owners.. have many got the silver versions?
Additionally there were some sales for the sim free handsets on Black Friday (CPW UK) but not from Google direct unfortunately.. is it worth waiting until Christmas sales for potentially another price drop? Do Google do promotions for Christmas? I would only purchase from Google as from experience customer service and warranty issues will be much easier.
Cheers (and apologies for the waffling)!

As much as I like my Pixel I'm thinking of getting myself an iPhone 7 to see me through most of 2017.

Something about the simplicity of iOS and in the integration with all the other kit in the house always makes me want to come back at some point.

Now just to try and find the best way to go about it. Tempted to just eBAY it or take a hit and use CEX just for zero hassle .

I have the black, it's worth the wait but I bought mine from Carphone Warehouse, ordered Sunday morning received it Monday morning via DPD. Google will not be discounting the Pixel over xmas, they didn't even do it for black friday (CPW dropped it to £529 which I why I jumped on it).

Same here - I have the black though as others say in bright light it's not really black. Had a white iPhone so wanted to change things up a little.

I was a little gutted when CPW reduced the sim free price from £599 three days after buying mine, but hey ho! :)

Where do I go to make sure it's going by my current location and not a set location?

Thanks.

Yeah it's not intuitive.

Go into the main google now pane
If you have a weather card or any other card, click on hamburger menu of the card and choose customise the feed
Go down to the bottom in the customise the feed to 'everything else'
first option 'interested in the weather updates for your location' make sure that says 'YES'.

That should then refresh the calendar widget on the homescreen and show current weather info instead.

Totally unintuitive, and had to discover it myself as I too wasn't getting the weather despite having show weather for home enabled.

I own the black one and my father the white one. Between the two I prefer the black. And I typically love white front facing phones, but the black is really slick. Yes, the metal portion on the back is a little more dark gray than straight black.

I posted a photo a few posts up on this page. If you can see the devices in person somehow, I recommend it. They look much better in person.

I was on the fence when CPW had the deal on.. I even mentioned it on this thread.
I have bad experience with CPW regarding after-sales (non-existent).. therefore on balance, the price drop was not as attractive.
I am on a tick-tock cycle with white and black faces.. currently on a black iPhone 7.. so white face is the natural choice.
The trouble with black faces is the fingerprint residue.. although the black iPhone 7 looks stealthy!
I am leaning towards the very silver now.. mainly because I am impatient (already ordered a couple of cases in anticipation) and would like to have it hand in time for the Christmas break!
Also, thinking of getting rid of the wife's 64GB iPhone 6s on MusicMagpie for £315 (anyone know any other websites with higher returns without the hassle of sending box etc). The Nexus 5X was sold for £160. Funds are nearly there! So less self-justification required!
I just need to make sure I stick with the Pixel for a meaningful period or else I will be in big trouble!

I use envirofone.com to sell all my phones, not sure if they are better price or not but it's a very simple process.

Do you have issues with notifications on your Honor? I dont know if it is the phone or my apps but I am having issues. I was using Blue Mail and my email was not coming in like it should or no notifications.

Raise to wake and double tap to wake are nice features, but I wish they were more reliable and consistent. Sometimes it'll take two double taps or the raise to wake will be slow, and by that point, I might as well have unlocked my phone. The fingerprint reader is fast and reliable thankfully.

Otherwise, 7.1.1 is lovely.

No issues, I use gmail. With regards to notifications make sure you have the honor 8 set to performance mode, and make sure the initially overzealous app sleep prompt is adjusted to allow the apps to run in the background uninterrupted from being put to sleep / deep slumber too early.
