The beach was pitch black, I couldn't see anything in front of me at all. I was happy with the results.

The sky was more orange...film reacts differently to light when you push it to the limit. It's called reprocity failure and it's sexy.

I took these in Victoria, BC with my old Nikon CoolPix 5700. It was a couple years ago so I don't remember the shooting info and I'm to lazy to look it up. (I believe it was mostly auto and 2-4 sec shutter)

Here's my favorite night photo...night photography is a lot of fun and I try to get out there when I can. My nemesis is getting something good-looking involving stars.

Two night images I shot last year with snow, resulting in more reflected light. The first one has artificial lightning coming from street lights, and the second one is lit with bright moonlight only.

Zenith - I'm curious what you shot with for the second shot - body and lens, any filters?

Just set the lowest ISO speed possible, then, if you really need it, run Noise Reduction filter in Photoshop

It's so much fun to take night photos, I've probably got a dozen I'd like to show, but I don't want to be a post whore, hah.
I'll just show this one for now, since it was already uploaded.

I took it around 2am after prom two years ago, while I was at my girlfriend's house. She has a pond that's lit by a single floodlight on the far side. The green came out from the leaves being translucent.
