Wow, trying to get this thing off Amazon was a joke
I set a reminder on my phone at 4:45 but alert never came. I thought of it at 5 on the dot and I never even got to see the page on Amazon :(

There's no excuse for Nintendo not to make enough of these to meet demand.

I added it to my cart, went to check out and the cart was empty...I did this about 3 times before it finally said "out of stock".

I had three sessions open, two of them crashed.

The local stores this morning only had a handful. No one had more than 5-6 units.

Hoping Nintendo ramps up production before. Christmas.

I did the exact same thing, but not 3 times I got a good 12 times in, until finally the link died.

My local Gamestop had a dozen of them when I went to collect my PS4 Pro on Thursday. None were pre-ordered.

My preorder is still just a preorder. Funny how hype can take you from being indifferent to rabidly hunting for one in local shops! What I'm looking forward to with it is being able to play classic games in as close to authentic fashion possible (without spending a fortune on carts).

Yeah, it was pretty ridiculous with what happened all over on release day.

My local Target received 39 units and sold out within 30 minutes...I got there by 8:36 SMH.

I struck out on Target.com and Gamestop.com...Luckily, I was able to get an order through bestbuy.com. That order should arrive by Tuesday...All I need to do is wait patiently for an extra controller and maybe the cord extension.

Ridiculous how bad of an experience it was to try and buy one of these in person. Majority are just trying to make a profit for resale. So dumb.

Unavailable everywhere

Any suggestions on when and how to buy one? none of the stores are taking orders.

Where did you pre-order it?

Best way is to call your local stores and see when they plan on getting restock.

As of today, folks on reddit are expecting retail stores to get a restock in December.

I saw an employee at my local target buy an NES late in the afternoon after they said they were sold out. Kind of messed up. But whatever.

Any success getting one?
Online reseller scalpers everywhere goes around $250-300...
Just keep any eye out the first week of December. That's when rumored re-stocks will happen. Just make sure to pay retail for this...It isn't worth more than MSRP, unless you REALLY need it.

I'm enjoying mine...But I'm glad I only paid retail.

Nintendo confirmed my order will ship by December 15th. I guess that's when the second batch is released.

When the Gamecube released - sold out everywhere by the end of launch week.

My friends' kids wanted one. They were able to get one with an extra controller and games that second week of December - Nintendo came through with a huge shipment everywhere...

Best thing about it is the save feature.

Any news for the next few days?

First or second week in December - the boat takes a while to cross the Pacific...

Man, that controller and console sizes really mess with your brain...

(seems like the controller is "floating" above the table, closer to the camera )

;)

I'm seeing some folks on social media post they were able to get a NES on Black Friday. Probably had to have lined up before the store opened.

I haven't touched my NES since I set it up...It's tough sitting that close to the TV lol

Yeah I reckon for most it's a collectable rather than something to play! For me though I'm gonna use it to play through a few NES games I never did as a kid. I've still got my original NES but Zelda, Metroid carts are super expensive now.
