First thought...we haven't been introduced to the iPhone 7 yet, so you're jumping the gun based on rumors. Second thought...you will not see a windowed interface on an iPhone ever. Third thought...go ahead and get a Note. Be happy.

Don't go and get a Note7 though. Although I hear they're pretty hot at the moment...

I just spent over $2,000 on a pair of iPhone 7+s and Apple series 2 watches... I'm mad because this should have been a Note 7 and Samsung Gear S3 purchases. Samsung dropped the ball with this exploding phone stuff. If I was allowed I would purchase the Note 7 in stores, but I can't. I'm a tech geek and I can't go this long without new technology. So whatever., Apple needs to add multi-window support and stop crippling their devices.. Apple you're so lucky Samsung screwed up, you won on a technicality, Note 7 is the better phone when it's not blowing up in your hands.

Though to be honest, that's a pretty big technicality. But people buy cars all the time that like to burst into flames also... eg Ferraris etc.
