Not really sure why everyone is getting so upset here? Orders seem to be going through at the same rate. Place your order get delivery 6/7 weeks later so changing to April in mid February makes sense?

It is annoying however that shipping times are not making any improvement as has historically been the case

You said it yourself: It's most annoying that these estimates aren't reduced over time.

I did indeed but people in this thread know that things havent improved from the Jan orders so its not exactly a surprise. Unusual for Apple yes, but not a surprise.

Ah, the joy of being dependant on a single source for your hardware. This would not happen in the PC world where you can get your "fix" from many vendors/manuf.

Hey guys, after the credit card got charged, how many days are to expect before shipment usually? :)

Received shipping information / tracking numbers today.

History:

Model: nMP 6c/1TB/D700/32GB
Order placed: 1/15/2014
PayPal charge: 2/7/2014
PFS date: 2/11/2014
Shipping notification: 2/12/2014
ETA: 2/21/2014

I hope it will take less than 9 days from the Czech Republic to Germany :D

Heart attack time.

Finally some movement on my UK 24th Dec order for a 8 core, 64GB, 1TB, D700 system - order is still showing as Processing Items but Apple has today taken the payment.

Some people can't predict they'll be there to accept delivery in 6-7 weeks. My father, for example, travels abroad a lot doing business. He might know he will be around in a week or two, but beyond that he could be almost anywhere in the world.

Having friendly neighbours helps with that.

Nice one, If you look at the spreadsheet by Scissors, there is only one UK order delivered so far.

I assume some people after 40 or so days forgot about the spreadsheet, or didn't book mark it so they don't know how to get back to it and update their records.

Of course after it arrives you are probably having to much fun to worry about the spread sheet .....however, if it was for personal use, after the spouse saw the credit card charge, you are locked out of the house, homeless with no internet connection to update the spread sheet that it arrived. :D

I am convinced this has happened in 100% of the cases!

I told my wife that my nMP costs around the same as an iPad Air. I guess if she finds out it is slightly higher I will blame it on delivery charges :)

It would be interesting to start a thread about what people have actually told their significant other! Maybe I'll do that!:D

Well, it does cost as an iPad Air. Which is sitting on a Macbook Air. Which is sitting on a Macbook Pro.

Will Apple deliver to another person's address when they won't even deliver to one of their own stores? Why don't they do click and collect? Lots of other companies seem to manage it.

Will Apple ever get any of these into their stores before they become obsolete? I asked an Apple store employee and he said Apple didn't pay him enough to know that sort of thing! Incredible :)

My status has changed to "preparing for shipment". Ordered 7 january (Belgium).

Just bought a new Macbook too, a Lacie 5big 10TB Thunderbolt and 64GB Crucial memory, life can be grand :D

I asked the same thing last week and the reply was 'in about 2 to 3 months'!

Mine looked at my Mac mini, the iPad Air and retina mini all bought in 2013 and asked why I needed to spend all that money on a nMP. Couldn't answer that one!
