So apparently I'm getting my stand for free now. I called them out on the "tracking number" and got this reply. Of course I will be returning it to them, NOT keeping it for free.
Anyone else get this email?

Well that's great that they did that for you and that they have recognized they are making mistakes. That being said there are many of us who can't even get responses from them and when we do it is full of lies anyways. We helped them fund production with our preorders and they , in my opinion, couldn't treat us more poorly if they tried. I had originally ordered 2 Pods as well, they will be losing that order, that is if they ever respond to me!

I emailed to cancel Friday 5/29 and was told "too late it had shipped but I can send it back". So on Wednesday 6/3 I get a tracking email that the tracking does not work. I guess its time to pull the Amex Charge Back button. Nomad is BS!


The EXACT same thing has happened to me. I am giving them one more day then reporting them to our Attorney General's office - they like this sort of thing. And there's PLENTY of complaints between here and Facebook for a case I'd think.

I, however, like the stand. The one I picked up at Best Buy looks just as expected. The cord is hidden and the finish is quite nice.

It's the battle cry in this thread: I'm so mad that I'm going to give them just one more day, again.

Well, whatever. I just found out today that everyone else was having the same shipping issue as me so I fired off an email to them this morning telling them they have one day to respond before I file a complaint with the state. I'm only giving "one more day" once, but basically have to before filing the complaint as we're asked about notification to the company prior to filing. If I don't notify the company, my complaint has little merit.

The good news is their auto-reply appears to be working!

"Hey Scott,

Thanks for reaching out to us here at Nomad!

We've received your message, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible! We usually respond within 1 business day.

I would be interested to see if you could get a direct answer from him about why they felt it was ethical to stock best buy before fulfilling pre-orders.

Thanks for getting back to me so quick, and sorry for your trouble with Chloe. Like I said, she has been slammed with emails. I went ahead and canceled the order. When you stand arrives, feel free to send it back or pass it along to a friend.

Thank you! You guys really could save yourselves a lot of trouble by posting some communication on Facebook, etc. It’s the not hearing that has everyone, including me, so bent out of shape. Shipping stands to Best Buy before those of us that preordered didn’t help either.

This. Those in the US should really be letting the authorities know about what Nomad's been doing. They may actually be guilty of fraud for several of their business practices.

For those still buying their stands - really don't understand why you would want to do business with a company this awful!!

I just poked them again about the ponzi like method of shipping and fulfillment on Facebook. I won't hold my breath for an answer though.

For those still buying their stands - really don't understand why you would want to do business with a company this awful!!

I, probably like most of us complaining, pre-ordered back in April. Hopefully anyone considering a stand is checking these forums first.

Just emailed Chloe to demand refund of 2 stands, I gave her to 5 PM EDT to verify the refund before contacting AMEX and further complaints.

You might as well be proactive about it, and call AMEX. Nomad's reputation of responding and meeting customers "demands" has been proven to be pretty bad.

I sent them an email and Facebook post demanding a full refund in 24 hours or else I will take legal action. That seems to light a fire under their ass because I received my refund within 2 hours. Additionally, they said the stand is already on it's way and it's out of their hands so it looks like I will be receiving one of these entirely for free.

That's because it probably hasn't shipped yet.

Seems like they are just generating shipping labels without actually shipping anything, and probably even dating the labels the day before you complain so they can claim they can't offer a refund. They should be going to Best Buy, buying stands, and then shipping them to us :mad:
