My use of 'everyone' is an obvious exaggeration. How can everyone complain about the stand? My friends with steel bands aren't fond of it and a couple have returned it already.

Just quickly searching Best Buy's review of the stand I found 2 reviews that said it scratches. You can do the work of searching.

I definitely understood your use of 'everyone' was an exaggeration, you simply meant 'many people'. What's sad is that you didn't understand I meant the same by it.

If you are not worried why do I have to provide a link to a few complaints? Will a link to text describing the metals scratch make you worry? Doesn't make sense.

As I've said in replies above I've had a few friends complain who have one. Two of them returned theirs and the one friend who doesn't complain snaps his bracelet every night to dock it which it looks like you do according to your attached photo.

If you aren't worried, then don't :)

I don't close the bracelet when I put it on to charge at night and I'm not worried about scratches. I just showed a picture to emphasize that I do have a stand and I'm not just making statements without firsthand knowledge. I asked for a link because you said EVERYONE with a Nomad stand is complaining about scratches and you are the first person that I've seen on this forum that I've encountered that mentioned definitive scratching. I know people are worried but so far no one has come forward and said it happened (except you).

I think the best buy reviews can't be taken seriously because people are suggesting here that negative reviews should be posted on best buy to detract from sales as retribution against Nomad fulfilling best buy orders before our preorders. I came really close to posting a negative review at best buy out of my anger with Nomad but decided against.

Oh...I thought you were going to replace the casing on the cable. :)

Still, the plasti-dip does a good job. :)

View attachment 559511

The one benefit of going your route with the casing is durability. I could likely do 3 or 4 coats of the plasti-dip, but I'm guessing it still won't be as durable as the casing that you're getting.
Have you done it before? How much width does it add to the cable?
that looks awesome. i need to figure out how to get the charging pod and end piece black also.

I recieved a notification this AM of a credit on my AMEX. 2 days after she said she would refund. I think CC companies take a day or two to post it.

I got my refund about 4 days after the order was cancelled.

Coming from somebody who's maths is well below standard that's a bit rich. Seeing you've decided to not get the Nomad, maybe you could contribute more meaningfully to the cheapie Griffin thread......If there is one.

You're trying to say my math is way below standard based off of what? Lol. I know your reading comprehension isn't great and now I know you don't know the difference between "who's" and "whose." Aw. To the cheapie Griffin thread!

9 days since shipping notification and no movement, I ordered this over 2 months ago (April 7, 2015).

I would strongly advise no one ordering from this company.

Same. If there's no more movement by tomorrow, I'm emailing them. I know it probably won't accomplish much, but I just want them to hear my feedback.

And what funny is that my item was "received" at 14:29 also. Suspicious.

I received a tracking number on June 2nd. Still no movement. Only pre-advice received. I previously posted that a delay didn't bother me since I got such a deep discount on the stand and pod. Now I am getting a little irritated. I originally ordered on April 19th.

Why wait until "tomorrow"? Isn't two months of run-around and empty promises enough?

I actually just spoke with the Santa Barbara, CA office for the Better Business Bureau and explained this whole situation. I directed them to this forum, nomad's website, and their Facebook page. They STRONGLY recommended that we file formal complaints through their website.

http://www.bbb.org/santa-barbara

I will be filing mine asap. Hope this helps.

UPDATE: I have filed a formal complaint. BBB will contact Nomad by letter and they have 7 days to respond.

Note: While filing a complaint you must manually enter Nomad as a company. Do not use the San Fran address listed. Their info is located under the terms & conditions page on their website.

Hi All - I wanted to join the forum to help answer any questions. I know a lot of you are rightfully upset with us for the delay. We have, however, shipped all Stands that were ordered up to May 21st, and we will be shipping all Stands that were ordered up to June 7th out on Monday of this coming week from Hong Kong. We did, admittedly (and as you have all rightfully spotted), have some serious shipping issues that we had to work through. We made some mistakes and got caught up with unexpected last minute delays. This was after we had a one week delay or so due to switching anodization suppliers. All that said, Stands are being made and shipped as fast as we can. We're a small team and we're hard at work to get back things back on track. Stands came out with an amazing quality and finish and we're so eager to get them on your desks and bedsides and to hear your feedback.

Let me know your questions and feedback and I'll do my best to address them all.

Wow. I thought you would have been flooded with questions by now. I only ordered mine on the 20th May, but even so, I have an email with the Shipping Confirmation that has been showing as "item received for processing" for six days now. That's just too long no matter what the reason. Any chance you can move things a bit quicker.

Thanks for the communication. Are you able to explain how stands showed up in Best Buy before our pre-orders shipped? That is where most of the frustration comes from.

Hey Gatorknight,

We committed on an order to Best Buy many many months ago. At that time, our production schedule with our factory was looking crystal clear on being early on producing enough units to fulfill our backorder first with time to spare. As the order due date for our Best Buy order approached, we were informed by our factory that our anodizing supplier fell through and they had to switch to a different one. This led to at least a 1 week hard-stop delay (I can't tell you how frustrating it is for us here that we have 12000 un-anodized un-polished but fully CNC'd Stands sitting on standby that have been ready for weeks). This left us with not enough stands to fulfill both orders, and we shipped the first Best Buy order first (note, we did immediately begin fulfilling backorder before working on other Best Buy or any other retail orders). Because our retail launch is something that we have been planning and preparing for so long, and because of the huge potential that retail success brings us here by scaling out supply chain and providing us the distribution needed to build our more and better amazing products, that is the choice we made. There was no easy way out. In short, we were over committed, and I apologize for the delay this has caused. Stands are retailing at Best Buy for $69.99, however, effectively giving all preorders at least a 14% discount (+ no sales tax unless you're in California). That said, I apologize for this and we're brainstorming on ways to make it up to you all once we're fully caught up with everything over here.

Sincerely,

Noah
