So I reached out to the seller on aliexpress about my leather loop band because the tracking number doesn't work. So I just wanted to make sure they sent it.
This was their response:

Hopefully they did indeed ship something to me the first time and this isn't just an excuse because they didn't actually have anything.

i live in shenzhen. i don't remember when we last had rain during the day. there's not been much the last week or two.

Update from Sikai. All I can do now is wait for my money if it ever comes. Ugh!

I ordered a 38mm blue leather loop from Sikai2011 on eBay on 2 June. Received 'shipped' notification on 6 June.

After reading this thread I came to the conclusion I didn't think it was on its way at all so asked for a refund which Sikai processed almost immediately a few days ago without question, certain now it was not shipped on 6 June as suggested!

I'm a little more suspicious on the AliExpress order of a 42mm red leather loop.
I paid last week for extra DHL express shipment, it should have been here today.

The tracking number never worked so I wrote to them several times and they got back to me last night saying they made a mistake and instead of DHL they sent it through Shenzen Logistics. Coincidentally they don't have any tracking ficilities so I'm totally in the dark now.

They claim "now very fast, 4-7 days arrive in England".

Not so sure now.

Why is it so hard to buy in Chinese shops?
At the end of the day we need to wait for a European/US store to come forward, deal with them for thousands of items and put them on sale at our local amazon site.

I'm so fed up.

Just got a email from the Amazon seller I purchased the fake leather loop from. They said my order must have got lost in customs. They will refund my money.
I'm glad I bought a real LL last week.
I wish apple made a 38 mm LL. So I could purchase one for my wife. Oh well I guess we have to wait on Apple.

As I posted a few pages back guys... DO NOT TRUST THESE CHINESE SELLERS.

I am not trying to be racist, but they can not be trusted. The way Chinese do business and the way other countries do business is very different. The Chinese will claim they have an item and sell it, even send you a tracking number and swear on their life it's coming. And then when it doesn't arrive, make every excuse they can and keep your money most the time. Any way they can get money, they will do it.
Even by the slight chance you do receive an item, the quality will be so bad you will wish you never bought it. You get what you pay for "or many times get nothing you paid for"

The eBay sellers that claim "we never cheat or how can we get this good ratings?" They just keep making numerous accounts and have friends or themselves post good comments. There are even hacking tools to add ratings and make your eBay account look so perfect and good.

I never had a tracking number that worked. The tracking numbers I got never were acknowledged by China Post.

Did you enter your tracking number here? http://www.ems.com.cn/english.html

My band, it appears, arrived at the "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA ISC SAN FRANCISCO EPACKET" yesterday. I'm assuming it's being transferring to USPS from there? I live just a few minutes away from SF. I'll post pictures as soon as it comes.

Update: I just tried my tracking number on USPS. It's definitely in San Francisco. I expect delivery tomorrow or Monday.

So, I sadly ordered the black Buckle for the 38mm SS from apple. However, I've heard that for the material I could easily get a Hoco band or a different one to replace. Can you guys recommend a good one that could be a good replacement and is shipped within the US? No China sellers plwease! LOL

Quite clearly Martin Wang from AliExpress is also a con artist selling non-existent leather loops.

Actually looks pretty decent for a knock off! Looking forward to reviews from those who get them
I have a genuine leather loop to compare it to. The connector where the band attaches to the watch do not hang over the edge like the knockoff. It also looks like the "leather" is pretty stiff. I cannot get my genuine loop to lay flat like it does in that second pic. Makes it bulge out where the strap goes through the loop.

If I were you guys, I would NOT buy anything leather from China. They are notorious for using the cheapest possible manufacturing techniques that compromise both quality and SAFETY. I mean there are people in China that put plastic into baby formula just to save a few cents, and it ended up killing babies. For something that you wear next to your skin all day, I'd be very careful.

I ordered a leather loop band from user yao_hongyao125 on eBay. I got a tracking number on June 10th, and my package delivered yesterday. Instead of the leather loop that I had ordered, the package had a pair of peacock earrings with a note that said it was a "free gift", and that my band was "on its way". I'm sick and tired of playing these stupid games with these Chinese sellers. If Apple had made a 38mm leather loop, I would have bought it from them with no hesitation.

What did you guys order and from whom? Thanks

I ordered a 42mm Red Leather Loop, medium size (specifically asked for it) from SIKAI on AliExpress, way back on May 11th.

USPS says it's out for delivery. I should have it by 3pm or so. I'm really hoping it's not a pair of peacock earrings.

Those photos look like it's a 42mm loop on a 38mm watch. Looks like the "leather" is pretty stiff too. I imagine it would soften up with some wear.

Let us know akonikui..

Just received my band. It came with a tempered glass screen protector and a stylus.

The feel of the "leather" is very similar to the Apple Leather Loop. It's surprisingly supple and the "grain" is VERY similar. It is not stiff, like I expected from the previous pictures. The red of the band is similar to the red on a Netflix envelope, included in the picture.

I specifically requested the medium length, and it is identical to the Apple band in length. The only differences in looks are that the end of the long piece of the tap is a little larger and the metal-lined opening on the short strap is slightly less rounded. I tried to get this in the picture but it's hard to see unless you're looking close up. The edges of the band also doesn't come all the way to the edge of the Apple watch like the authentic leather loop does - it's about half a millimeter short on either side.

I was very impressed until I put it on. The magnets inside are noticeable weaker than the Apple band. Typically when I make a fist the Apple band gives me some resistance but moves slightly (I do this when I put it on to the settle the band between magnets so it doesn't loosen over the day and give false positive notifications). The SIKAI band gave me little to no resistance and the magnetic connection loosened quickly. The magnets seemed strong enough to keep it on during normal wear.
However, in a test where I flailed my arms wildly (kind of like Dr. Zoidberg on Futurama) the SIKAI strap loosened very quickly. The magnets reattached themselves, but it's a scary thought that it could fall off this way, however unlikely that motion might be in normal circumstances. It's important to note that the Apple band did not loosen at all in the same Zoidberg test.

For a knock-off, it's not bad - but I wish the magnets were stronger. Not to sound morbid, but I also wish it were more of a blood red, like the (Product) Red iPod shuffles and nano used to be.

Three more pictures to show what I mean about the gap on the edge. It's more noticeable on the short strap, but who knows how much quality may vary with these knock-offs.
