At this point I'll just buy the Apple link and the ML from Apple. Besides with Apple if something happens my AC+ will take care of things.

I ordered this yesterday b/c the link was posted on a different thread. It hasn't been shipped - wondering if I should just cancel and get the real Apple Link band....so disappointing to hear....

Where did they buy from? I'm talking to Oatmall on Aliexpress right now and he has this one that looks like the link and just sent photos. I'm trying to find out if they ship right away.

I all my band from China biggest "eBay like" which the system is quite good where the money will not be release to the seller until you receive your goods.

I'm too waiting for my leather loop to be shipped. Those photo I post are review given by other customer whom manage to get the first wave of the shipment.

There are already some users who gotten the leather loop band and posted their review. The demand are high and production is low so it will take awhile to wait for the stock.

Are these your photos? From whom was this band purchased?

This picture is distinctly different from the pictures of the Link band in that Taobao link. The Taobao url has pictures of the band with individual links in the band that look like the actual Apple Link band, i.e. the ends curve.
The picture of the band above show the links are all the same size and rectangular and there is no curve.

I'd like to get the Taobao version, however can't understand the site. Anyone organising a group buy from Taobao? lol

So I decided to take a risk, and I've gone ahead and ordered the Taobao one. I was debating going through an agent, but in the end didn't and just bumbled my way through creating an account, ordering and payment. (I was using Google translate, however at times I had to bring up the Safari Element inspector to be able to "copy/paste" translations.)

It appears some sites with Taobao guidelines say to use a Freight forwarder which will automatically show due to the international delivery address.. However I wasn't able to pick this option, it just said delivery international.
It also seemed to process my credit card fine.

So we wait and see..

This is kind of frustrating, I'm a polyglot. Speak 5 languages and none of them is Chinese. Ugh. Can't even log in and it appears as if I already have an account.

I have to wonder how comfortable that type of clasp is. Most of the ones I've seen are more flat against your wrist. And Apple's butterfly clasp lays pretty flat from what I can tell. Based on the photo of it laying flat, when you're wearing it won't it bulge out from your wrist when closed on the underside of your wrist?

I ordered from tonsee_best also and today was the last day of the expected shipping period. No band.

I hadn't even received a tracking number, but I hoped once it went through customs one would show up.

I sent them a message asking for further details so let's see what happens....

I'm betting they hoped to have the product but it wasn't ready yet and they are stalling.

Still, just be honest about the situation and say you should have said preorder or whatever, and refund those who dont want to wait.

This will be my first bad eBay transaction.

Haha looks like im in the same boat. Today is +2 days after I should I recieved the item but no shipping number or nothing. Just requested a refund. Negative feedback inbound!

I also ordered from SIKAI on AliExpress. I got the same exact response from them about humidity affecting the glue, even though they told me they had shipped it on May 28th. Very frustrating - this coming AFTER the "preorder price" BS and having to pay them $20 more via Paypal. Shady, yes, but I want a red band.

Anyway, my tracking number finally works now. As of 6/16, it is "Despatch from Sorting Center" in Shenzhen.

I never had a tracking number that worked. The tracking numbers I got never were acknowledged by China Post.
