There is no App Library on ipados. The widgets are a little different, but they’re still in the same place. There is no ‘new layout’ for ipados 14.Widgets, app library?

Prob is, if I accidentally swipe 1x too much at the end, that bizarre App Library pops up and makes me barf.THIS 100%, ever since the first iPhone release, we've had the same boring user interface, don't know why people are complaining, they don't have to use widgets if they don't want to, they can still keep the boring grid app layout from 2007.
To me the app library is worthless. I could see it being more useful if we could customize it ourselves, but letting Apple do it fills folders with apps that I would in no way put them. Without it being customizable, I'll never use it and I don't think most people will as they aren't going to know where to find the apps that Apple has stuffed into their controlled folders.
Apple will not doubt allow us to rename the folders in the App Library on general release. That’s a basic need and I’m sure it’s only locked now because this is a beta.
You've been able to customize it all along... it's called "home screen pages". Just don't scroll past your last page and Bob's your uncle.
Nope. They are categorised folders, as it’s the App Library, not a Home Screen.
Only Home Screen folders can be changed.
Oh, I thought we were getting the option to rename the categorised folders? Seems a bit stupid that this won’t be an option considering I’ve got apps in the wrong categories due to the AI getting it wrong. That’s very disappointing and I thought this was a temporary beta thing. I suppose I should have expected it not to be perfect.

I wish I could make the app library default to list view, as well as swipe left/right to reinstate to home screen or delete.
What you currently see is how it will be on release day for the App Library, otherwise known as the Search and Indexing App Library.Apple will not doubt allow us to rename the folders in the App Library on general release. Yea but iOS13 felt almost identical to 12,11,10 all the way to ios7.Remember that iOS 14 is more of a "catch-up" release like iOS 12 was. Not much in the way of groundbreaking features and more about subtle improvements and solving problems.
After the mess that was iOS 13, we need one of these. Look to iOS 15 for the "wow!" stuff.
Something new in iOS 14?
Second time I have seen this when I “Liked” someone’s entry that contained a video.
Full screen “Confirm action”.

Your feedback here:That's very annoying, I'm not an idiot to be asked to confirm each time...
I'm surprised that many people still play/care about Pokemon Go... The big buzz for this game was in 2016 I believe? I'd never imagined some people would still like it so much 4 years later. Here where I live, nobody play this since like when the buzz ended at the end of summer 2016.i kind of want to install ios 14 on my primary phone but pokemon go still doesnt work on it so
No, they never said that. They were designed to be categories, which is what they are. the categories are not dictated by 'AI', but dictated by the Developers (when developers submit apps to the App Store, they pick a Primary & Secondary category for their apps from the list).
So, if you have apps in weird categories, speak to the developers that made them.

The Complete Guide To App Store Categories
App store categories can be confusing due to mismatches between the two app stores. Nevertheless, any app store optimization strategy relies on categorization.blog.prioridata.com
For the most part, the categories are selected by the app developer when they submit the app to Apple/the App Store. There are some differences, but largely, that's true. So if it's in the "wrong" category, contact the developer, or live with it. Everyone has their panties in a wad over the App Library, but it is what it is. If it causes you that much consternation, simply don't use it - e.g., don't swipe past your last home screen page.

Not a bad suggestion. Pass it on to Apple via Feedback, as they are the only ones with the power to change it.
I would disagree. Since they've dug in with the developer selected categories for the most part, I don't see that changing without some serious lobbying via the Feedback app for that change.
Poor choice of words, I didn’t mean AI.
It’s a bit of a let down so far and I’ve found myself not using it much. I still just pull down and search or use the folders I’ve been using for years. No big deal not to use it I suppose. I’ll give my feedback on it.
I did send my feedback earlier.Basically, your issue is with the Developers choice of Category, feed back to them, and they may change it.
I am continuing to use the customisable folder method which works. I disagree about intended audience though. I would imagine Apple aim iOS at all their users and hope the new core additions are adopted by all. It’s choice though I accept and maybe i’ll get used to it in time. There's a clear split in the use/design. App Library is a categorised index of all your apps. Home Screen is a mix of widgets and apps in customisable named folders. The latter seems what you need, which is what's always been ther, you are not the intending audience for App Library.

Not every feature of iOS is intended for the entire audience though, Fitness, which would full under a core addition the other year, isn't for everyone there's a specific audience for it. Same goes for App Library, which is for the people that haven't/don't know/etc used the customisable folders. You are obviously not the intended audience on that basis.
For me apps like fitness, stocks, compass etc are easily ignored and can be hidden away in folders or removed. An entire screen is a little different and it would be quite cool if this could be hidden in a similar way to other types of visual features. If I am not the ‘intended audience’ for such a dominant visual interface, then it should be an option to customise this away from view. If this isn’t an option, then I will maintain that this is intended as a fundamental feature for everybody using iOS going forwards.
