Both are bad IMO, the Note 4 has Touchwiz so you will have to change the launcher etc, and the 6 Plus is too massive. But I guess at least with the Note 4 you can change fix its problems.
I was interested in the Nexus 6 but having seen and played with a 6 Plus with a case on it, no chance am I going to get one, way way way too big for me, shame really. And the 6 Plus isn't as wide as the Nexus 6 or thick, same height though.
What is so bad about touchwiz? I am still waiting for this million dollar question to be answered.

Usual rant like lag doesnt count as the note 4 is very smooth.

You make it sound as if changing the launcher is a negative. It's one of the most beautiful things about Android. Yes, I hate the native touchwiz launcher but it only takes a minute to go to Android play, download one of the many launchers (Nova for me) and hit the home button and make it default. There is no rooting or hacking involved. I even use Nova on my Nexus 7 because it adds tons of features and is fast. I never use the stock launcher on any of my phones. If you're a Android purist you can even use Google native launcher from Android play on the Note 4.
This is one of my top 3 reasons for not using iOS. I get bored easily and with a few changes I have a fresh interface. I don't want to be stuck looking at folders every time I turn the phone on.

Hope the following gives this regurgitated nonsense that has been going on like a broken record a complete RIP.

From Displaymate shootout, Note4 beats 6+ in all the categories that measure color accuracy. In fact, looking at the numbers in the table Note4 totally annihilates the 6+.

Even with the cold hard truth Apple fans will still not believe that a Amoled display has dethroned a lcd panel by Apple.
Scary Part is that the Note 5 will be rocking a 6"4k display while Apple is on the relatively unchanged "S" model for 2015.

----------

No I have the S5....

The S5 in my opinion is lack luster given the competition this year. The M8 and G3 were the better phones. Not every Samsung phone is a win. But I do expect the S6 to come out swinging in 2015.

I'd like to know this. It seems to be in fashion to slag it off.
It seems some people are offended by the colour of the toggles on the lockscreen - very bizarre.

Honestly? Nothing is wrong with touchwiz. It doesn't really lag any more (not as smooth as stock, but that might change with lollipop). It is a really feature full overlay.

Personally...I don't really like the way it looks on my note 4. It is just MY OPINION. My buddy, brother, dad, and mother LOVE touchwiz and all its style. I don't, and has such have a nexus 6 arriving tomorrow. Stock lollipop is the best, for me.

There is a reason why samsung is so popular. People might like to bash them, just like apple, but a lot of normal, everyday people love touchwiz.

Well for me I don't like it's colour for the text, the green, or the layout of the options they have given the interface. They have taken it too far from naked Android IMO.

I know I could install a launcher but my point is that you shouldn't need to, and I have a Nexus 5 and had a Nexus 7 so I know all about naked Android.

So you’re saying that having one launcher choice (iOS and WM) is the best option for everyone? I would take the stock touchwiz launcher (with widgets) all day long before I use the rock old iOS grid of icons and folders or Microsoft’s sloppy tiles. And do realize that there are even better launchers than stock Android. Why should you be forced to use the stock launcher that comes with a device when you have the option of getting a better one?
How would you like it if Apple forced you to use only the stock Safari web browser that comes on an Apple computer? That’s basically what Apple is doing to iOS users with their launcher.

Time for an eye check up. Note 4 is crowned Best of the best. iPhone 6+/6 and Air 2 rate towards the bottom of the group.

http://www.gsmarena.com/display_mate_crowns_galaxy_note_4_display_best_of_the_best-news-10254.php

It's a fact that larger displays are easier to bin with better color accuracy due to the larger pixels and cheaper manufacturing cost.

Let's compare the Surface Pro 3 with a Retina MacBook 13.

There's only TWO phones on that list: The Note 4 and the iPhone 6 Plus. They compared the rest to tablets. How is that even a relevant comparison?

Also GSM Arena is notorious for Android bias. Just for your info so maybe get your bias-radar checked. Or you can just prove me right by quoting an article from a website called GalaxyNote4IsTheBestPhonePeriod.com.

And the article is by Displaymate. :p

Just give it up. Note4 beats 6+ in accuracy decisively.

The note series is for people who really want to be productive on a phone. When I had a note, I never had to use my tablet or computer (have one for work) in my personal life. I am highly cosidering the note 4. The stylus really is a feature no other phone can compete with.

I, OTH, don't like its native launcher (Google). I always install 3 rd party launcher such as Nova for my Nexus 5. To me, more choices is better even if you don't need it.

Lollipop actually made me install a launcher b.c I hate the horrid app drawer in stock and icon size is too big.

Well hell...after all my drooling over Note 4 and Nexus 6, I ended up ordering a space grey 64gb iP6+ which I'll be picking up tomorrow :p

The Note 4 just didn't blow my mind as I had expected, even though the screen of course is stunning. And for the N6, I'm just not that in love with the look of Lollipop. Whereas iOS 8 has turned out to actually do all I want it to do since I installed it on my old 4S. Cherry on the cake is that Swype actually is great on iOS 8 too, in fact smoother on my 4S than on my Note 2. Oh, and to my even greater surprise I found that iOS widgets actually are good  The Wunderlist one is excellent and I have already started using it all the time on iPad/4S.

Also it'll just be fun in general to try the all-in Apple approach for a while, with iPhone+iPad+Mac. I'll keep having my trusty Note 2 by my side though of course, and take the opportunity now to root the crap outta that sucker. This doesn't mean that I've stopped loving Android, just that we'll have an 'open relationship' for a while
Enjoy

And of the day it's what suits your needs best.

----------

Thanks for all the info and I thought this was a Mac Forum! I'll stick to my 6 plus! Does what I want!
Which is what matters. .if it suits your needs

I tried Nova before, not bad, but for me I prefer the stock one or one that isn't too far removed from the stock one.

No, my point is Samsung shouldn't changed the stock launcher so much in the first place. I think you failed to see my point of that and then went off on one.
The Note 4 for me is too big anyway, I am going to be paying VERY close attention to next years Xperia Z4 Compact instead. I saw a 6 Plus and it's just way too big so the Nexus 6 is definitely out and the Note 4 is only just a bit smaller but not much.

After much deliberation and being mostly convinced that my next phone would be an iPhone 6+, I ultimately went with Note 4. Much to my own surprise, I might add.

This is not a knock against the 6+, but for what I want, need and expect from a large phablet, the Note 4 is closer to the mark than the 6+ at this time.

Mind you, I'm still in my 14 day period, so this can change at the drop of a hat :)

I think the 6+ will benefit android phablets in the wider market as well.

4 months ago, a lot of people considered the Note line and similar sized phones to be an abomination.

The 6+ will get many new users accustomed to larger phones, and where at one point they would have written off phablets, they might actually give them a look and consider taking one home.

Goes both ways though. Some android users that simply wanted the big screen will migrate back to iOS as well.

Yeah I'm sure some android fans would go back iPhone for this reason. Still for me no removeable, no android like widgets and no way to make your home page what you want it are key things for me.also love the s pen features. But others might not care as much about those things.
