In this camera/video comparison, the Note 4 pretty much owns the IP6+

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Arah2K_xvCk

Hopefully the phone interface is improved, and the slew of software bugs are removed prior to S6.

On the S5 the camera has serious macro focusing issues, is very slow opening and has crashed my phone on see several occasions when opening from the lock screen . Getting out the camera app directly into gallery is also maddeningly slow.

When I had the iPhone 6 I could navigate with far more ease, never a hint of shutter lag and the switch between shooting modes happens in a far quicker fashion due to the more intuitive interface.

I dont have this issue with the Note 4. The camera app opens near instantly. There is no shutter lag in low light too. I think the shutter lag is an issue if you on "smart stabilization". I believe the smart stabilization algo takes time to process before taking the shot. If you move the cam after pressing the shutter the image will be blurry. That's why I never turn on smart stabilization in low light but just keep my hand steady.

I dont see the confusion in switching mode. Press the Mode button and pick. I dont think it can get simpler than this given that you can have more than a dozen shooting modes if you installed all the options. Of course it wont be as easy as iphone with couple of modes.

I have my N4 pre-ordered. I have the IP6 so I will do a camera comparison later this week. But I have the IP6 NOT the plus.....

While I prefer the Note 4 myself, I don't get the part where he speaks about the it being so much more stable while shooting video. The Note 4 video looks a lot more shaky. Or are my eyes deceiving me?

Here's the exact spot:

Yep it looked more shaky to me too.

Why was my post deleted? All I said was that my brother-in-law was getting a Note 4 and I planned to post our side-by-side comparison (my 6+) here....

That's what this thread is about?

Saw a video on this subject and thought it was pretty darn funny lol, lemme know what you guys think.

http://youtu.be/E92ZReaTOoY

Funny thing is, in one of his earlier videos about how he makes 800$ a month from YouTube, YouTube forced him to sit through a galaxy note 4 ad lol, was creasing up.

Just a note(pun intended), Touchwiz can be taken care off by installing a launcher like Nova.

This. So much this. When people write off a great device because they don't like Touchwiz or heard that they shouldn't like Touchwiz I gotta laugh. It takes what 2 minutes to sign into Google, find, download and install?

Then maybe another couple of minutes to dump any apps you don't want in your App tray into a folder (which you can't really bitch about because how many people do something similar with default Apple apps that you can't delete?).

There. Done.

Pretty sure the 8 GB it takes up are there to stay though.....

You can repaint your car, but that doesn't mean it'll get better gas mileage.

Just installing Nova launcher is far different than just a different look: it works differently. I don't think anyone would care if it was just a different color. Lots of added functionality with different launchers. For me one of the most important is being able to have more apps on each page, which also makes widgets take up less space as well.

But you can also replace the phone app, text app, contacts app, calendar app and more.

There isn't much left to see from Touchwiz.

As for the unneeded apps still taking up space (I would venture less than 8GB) with 32GB main memory and most apps nowadays able to use sd, space is not really a concern on a device where you can slap in a memory card. Up to 128GB, at that.

Those of us who do like to tinker can root and delete what we want. I might stay stock for a while on my Note 4 though. We shall see...

True enough....I hate having multiple apps that do the same thing so all that TouchWiz bloat would bother me.

Besides apps you can't remove, notification screen, status bar, not being able to root (losing warranty) thanks to knox etc.

any cheap sprint phones I can buy off craigslist with a trade in value over 10 bucks? Do they have to be active on my account? I have a HTC ONE that I'd rather not sell.

Doesn't have to be active.

Just look up the trade in value of phones on sprint and see what you can get. Then go buy said phone.
