Another day and another speed test where note8 smoked the X twice over.

This is the LTE speed test.

Interesting, so on both Regular LTE and Gigabit LTE the Note8 is far ahead, good to know especially with many networks upgrading their LTE infrastructure. My Note8 is now almost constantly showing me LTE+ wherever I go.

Here's to hoping the 2018 iPhone's will catch up.

WiFi range was much worse on my iPhone x compared to my note 8. I had also some connection lost when I had good reception which never happened on my note 8.

Disagree. Because it is a matter of opinion based on what the average consumer sees results produced off photos. Although you are correct that there are photography test(s) indicating statistics, however Its not reasonably logical to believe that the consumer would even remotely research or invest time to find out which smart phone camera produces the best results. Which is what lead me to state :

"Are there other smart phone cameras better on other smart phone competitors?"I would say that's up to the user to decide."

What a stupid post. Do you really think that if a user "believes" the iPhone camera is superior to all other smartphone cameras then that makes it so?

For lots of people the iPhone cam is good enough. That's far different than freely submitting one's self to a delusional state of mind.

We have gone far beyond the point where one camera is going to blow away another on a smartphone. I wouldn't even say any flagship "totally outperforms" another for the most part in the Google/Samsung/Apple Trinity.

Some perform better than some in certain areas, sure, but even then it's not likely by much.

This is not about the iPhone camera and you did not read my post thoroughly enough, nor did I disparage against the iPhone camera. Second, Clearly others agree with what I stated, contrary to what I posted, which you took a out of context. Instead of replying with the A juvenile comment as you did , you could have replied with something more logical for The sake of discussion about how I was referring to what the consumer sees versus what statistics show. Smart phone cameras are very close in comparison in today's world of results of what they produce for photos. Two different things. But I understand that you missed the main points addressed.

Not even going to watch another pointless speed test video. That speaks for mobile connections around the world does it? This thread seems to be a hate on the X thread.
it's more pointless testing LTE as different areas will be better than others.

at work i get 86MB download but at my parents it's only at about 22MB. so speed wise it is always going to be different.

I tested my x with my work mate's note 8 and speed wise the x was slightly faster in some tasks but generally there was nothing in it.

any issues the X may have in these speed tests to me will be purely IOS 11 issues and not the A11 chip.

I would like for Samsung to update their Galaxy Camera series from a few years ago. Be updated to a sensor superior to the S/Note line and firmware updated to Oreo. Old ones are still stuck on Jelly Bean. I would like to have 21x optical zoom and Xenon flash. Galaxy Camera was more of a side project from them 4-5 years ago.

This is my take too, the cameras on these phones are pumping out great photos, trading blow for blow and the victories and losses are slim in most cases.
Camera makers are feeling the pinch and have been for a while.
I guess we need something to argue about though eh? :D

I almost got one but was just a little bulky with camera life that didn't match the size.
I'd love a camera focused phone, more zoom is always welcome.
Seeing the zooming capabilities of bridge cameras these days, it can't be that off until someone gets a decent zoom in a phone.

Oh yeah. We're down to arguing about miniscule camera differences and millisecond speed differences. It's a nice time to buy a smartphone.
