Yay for me. The Netflix app was what really did it for me. To be able to sit up in bed and watch Netflix streaming and easily carry it to the bathroom and to the kitchen was just great. :D

Now I am really praying for that Hulu app.

I like the device in general, but now that I'm actually using it On the train I can see that the glare is rally killing it, much more so than my uMBP. I don't think I'll be using it as a reader. My Kindle2 gets a rep rive.

Anyone think a screen protector will help alleviate the glare problem that lots of people are talking about?

It's GREAT!

Really enjoying the iPad. I'm going nuts downloading apps, but I think it's expected at first. I think NetFlix and LogMeIn are my 2 favorite apps right now. I'm looking forward to many more great apps!

A big Yay for me! I love it and it's very addictive. Everyone comments on how good the screen looks and it does look good. My Aunt who saw it and just kind of groaned ended up telling my Uncle that he should get one. Other family members want one now. Even my wife wants her own. I hope she gets one soon so she won't try to hog mine anymore.

My wife who has a MacBook played with my iPad and is now putting her MB on ebay.

An enormous YAY from me! The screen is so crisp and displays content beautifully, and it is just a pleasure to use.

Day 3.... Still a big YAY for me. So much more apps available, so many things to discover! Amazing gadget!

Definitely Yay!

I was more critical of Apple's tablet in January, but the iPad is a new device that must be experienced to fully appreciate why it's impressive. Sure, I still want to see a few improvements to this first generation device, but, like many of you, I find myself using my macbook less these days.

Its a love/hate relationship for me. The one thing I wish it had was at least a faked multi task. Take the Pandora app for instance. Totally useless. Whos going to sit there and stare at an album cover just to listed to Pandora? It needs to be able to run in the background while I am online. Same thing with instant messengers. Those needs to be able to run while I am online. Shouldnt be too complicated to have the ability to do this.

Like most people, and the pro reviews, the ipad is huge winner.

Ignore the specs and the capabilities; this device is about the experience. And it is almost universal that the enlarged ipod touch, if that's all it is, is something totally different. Yes, it's just more pixels, but most people would agree that hdtv vs standard tv is a whole new ballgame, too. But that's just more pixels as well.

It's not just what the ipad can do; it's how you do it that makes it so desirable. I too was not expecting much. I was not completely wowed with it at the store. But I knew personally that I wanted an ebook reader, a movie player, and a web surfing machine so I bought it. My impressions have steadily improved as I have been using it at home. My ohmygosh moment was when I tried to type on it. I was shocked that I could type quickly and accurately on it. That was when I realized that the game had changed.

Yay! Loading my old school comics on it now. What if.. The iPad had flash?
Yeah, I wish it wasn't so limited in terms of file sharing and connectivity, but it will still get some mileage.

Was a huge YAY at first for me but now that the novelty has worn off I don't know. I still like it but the lack of flash and a filesystem so I can upload pics and docs to forums and emails along with the lack of ram making tabbed browsing kind of pointless because the page have to reload everytime you switch a tab anyway etc. Theres alot of quirks that kind of ruin the experience for me but at the same time if they fixed all these quirks it would be an amazing device. We'll see what V2 brings by then Android tablets will be out as well so Apple will be more inclined to add these features and fix the quirks and if they don't I will probably switch over to Android at that time.

I have not experienced the problem of the browser reloading webpages, it will reload them, but normally after a long time, if I open up a couple of browser tabs it usually keeps them loaded just fine, better than my palm pre at keeping the webpages loaded.

I was very skeptical when it was announced.

Now that I have one, I can't put it down!

Big YAY!
