Hello everyone. Been lurking for a while, but finally decided to post.

Great site so far and looks like we have a good mix of enthusiasts.

A little about me, I'm a gun nut and love tech.

I've been deep into Android for the last 3-4 years and decided to come to the darkside. I seriously was one that went from a Note 2 to an IP5 (Note 2 was still the best phone I've ever laid my hands on.)

Reasons for the switch were size, and also the fact that the g/f and son between the two of them have an iPhone 5, iPod Touch 4th Gen, iPad Mini, and iPad 4th Gen. So I said why not. Made sure I got a phone I could JB and now I've got the sickness bad.

True story, a couple weeks ago I traded a guy the iPad Mini (32gb) w/ Otterbox Defender for a 21.5" i3 iMac. Just added 8gb's of Crucial sticks to bring it up to 12. Maybe when the honeymoon of the Mac wears off I will attempt to SSD it.

Getting this led me to buying an L-shaped desk off CL for $25....so the office/man cave/gun room is taking form.

And a week ago I ordered an MBP non retina i7 4gb. This I will for sure be replacing the HDD with an SSD and bumping up to 16gb of ram.

So anyway, I have a disease much like black rifle disease and I'm glad you all are here to fuel my addiction. (And the g/f doesn't know it yet but I'm getting her an MBA for her bday later this month) Still keeping an Asus notebook around just in case I need me some windows, but I doubt I will miss it much. Sold my Toshiba after I updated to Win8 and wanted to begin clubbing baby seals due to the stupidity of the changes. Promptly sold it and was getting by on the iPad and phone.

I just Joined This Site About 5 Minutes Ago and Don't know Where to Start

Hello and Yes I am a true newbie. I am ashamed to say considering how much I am on the computer/internet but this is the first time I have been this brave or this frustrated to ask for help. With that said, I have questions regarding my MacBook Pro and Problems I am having loading software I just bought, Final Cut Pro. Being that this is my first time participating in a community forum I am not sure how to go about asking for help or where exactly I am supposed to go to post any questions i have. I respect the use of proper etiquette but have the attention span of a gnat, sometimes making it hard to find answers to computer related issues I am having. I have a mix of Apple and Android devices. I currently have a GS3, which I love. It's served me well. I actually plan on getting the 5s when it comes out. I've done it all with Android. Droids, Nexus, Galaxy S3, you name it lol. I just wanted to try something new. I've never had an iPhone before so I decided I'd give the 5s a chance.
