Newbie here. I got my first MacBook Pro 6 years ago, and I haven't looked back since! I've been reading MacRumors for years and figured I should sign up for the forum.

I've been lurking on here for years, browsing now and then, but I started visiting daily September 2013 when I got an iPhone 5S. Prior to that I've owned many generations of iPod devices. Today officially marks the first time I sign up and become a member!

I have been visiting the forums off and on for a bit. Formerly an Android user and then circumstances, i.e. daughter wanted an iPhone and hearing aid compatibility for me, made us get more involved in the iOS ecosystem. Once I transition my wife to an iPhone, we will be pretty much in sync. Don't think we would invest in a Mac, but maybe a used iPad in the near future. The forums are interesting, look forward to seeing everyone's posts.
Hi, I am just a newbie and I own an iPhone 6s 16gb space gray and I am pretty satisfied with its performance. I am not new to iOS as this is my fourth iOS device, previously I used the iPhone 2g, 3GS, 4s, 5, but this was a huge step up from my before iPhones as this was the fastest device that I have ever owned and I am a happy user of my phone. Now enough about my phone and I myself am an Apple fanboy and have been following this forum since a very long time since 2013 and that was the time when my iPhone 5 gave up on the home button due to which I visited macrumors and I got a solution to it and from then I was a follower of this forum but I joined just now and I am thinking of sharing all my Apple stuff here!

Thanks for this welcome page; I will start by saying hello to everyone.
I have gone through some post and find them to be quit engaging.
I do not own a mac yet, intend to get soon. I have used one in the past and was pleased because I never encountered virus issue. Just want to know base on other users experience the one to go for.
Another newbe to the forum. Been reading for a while and finally registered.
First Apple product was an Apple IIe, no hard drive, green screen, big floppy disks and programs that cost a future. Career forced me to use other equipment. Retired and came back to the "dark side" with an iPhone, iPad, MBP and waiting for the new version of the Watch (but may not be able to hold off until then.....)

Hey guys. I've been using Apple products since I was little in school. I currently have an iPad mini 1 and iPhone 5s and enjoying them.
