Hi all...I am an iPhone 6s+ noob user and for the past two weeks I've trying to learn as much as I could about iPhones and iOS. You helped me a lot with your posts and comments and I am really glad that I can be a part of Mac Rumors community!!!

This will be a bit of a test... Another of these threads started with good intentions... but was soon taken over by regulars.

if you just joined MacRumors, reply and introduce yourself.

This is only for new Macrumors users... only users who registered within two months of the current date may reply...

All other users posts will be deleted. (moderators, please enforce this). This will be for myself included... only comments by truely "new" users will be allowed in this thread.

Discuss away...

(this could fail miserably if no one replies :) )

Thank you for the welcome. I seem to have started a conversation (although no replies yet) before I found the welcome. I hope this is not a too severe breach of protocol. Any, I am looking forward to getting some replies to my problem and continuing my study of C. Thanks again.

Hello Forum Members,
I'm Retired Navy and Retired Over-The-Road Truck Driver enjoying spending retirement checks. I've been a Windows guy since I got my first computer. I just purchased the 27" Mac about 3 months ago and love it! My first Apple Computer, I have a lot to learn about it. My wife will be getting a Mac Laptop soon, we're giving up Windows, too much drama going on with Microsoft. I figured I would get the Big Mac since I love big screens and it's easier for me to see at my age.

Hello - I'm fairly new to Macs, only a few months since I left my PC behind, thanks to my son giving me his iMac. And now I'm hooked.
I was recommended to this forum by the local Apple retailer here in Nottingham, England.
I look forward to having a look around your threads in the hopes of learning stuff, plus I have loads of questions.
Stella

Noob. Just got here. New 27" a few days ago. Been Mac since about 2006, with a 6 month mistake stint going the other way. Being here is prolly a good way to get info, and let off steam when I have probs with Apple, which I sometimes do.

I am a Macbook pro user since 2009. Now my laptop gets a bit old and started not to work smoothly as before. That's why I chose to join this forum to get help from you and to help others if I can.

You might want to try posting in the Mac section.

Had couple of years iPhone 4 when it came out. Since then used several WP and Android phones. Now waiting for iPhone 7 to buy. Just cleaned up and upgraded mid 2010 iMac 27" with SSD. Solid MBP 13" Retina i5 late 2013 is in daily use. Old iPad mini has a broken glass, but still working. IPad Pro 9.7 with Pencil is the latest Apple device. Still wondering should I change ATV to the latest model. About me... well, just a little man coping with everyday life as suppose...

I was curious to learn new things and tech-updates about my MacBook Pro that I just bought months ago, one day I googled all about mac so that I can be in touch with the latest news and updates and found your website in top 3 or 4 links joined all and try to keep in touch. When I was scrolling through mac rumors I realized it is hell of information about iOS and Mac OSX, everything almost with real users experience that is awesome :D
Welcome to the show.

I guys, long time mac rumors creeper, i used to browse on my friends laptop when he had it open at work, decided i could get in here and check things out on my own account. I run a wakeboard and kiteboarding outfit in Long Island in the summer and work on a private island teaching sailing in the BVI in the winter, hope to get a bunch of insight from you fine folks.

Hope you are all having a great day

I have been gifted an iPhone 6S by my kids and now have to use it.
My biggest interest with the phone is learning about its photographic capabilities. I keep a family photo database with over 1T-worth of photos and scans.
That said, I have to find out how to off-load pictures from the 'phone to a computer. I do have a wifi point in the house and, of course, I can connect the 'phone to a computer by wire. No directions in the user manual on this process. Help!

I think iTunes does it for Windows. iPhoto on a Mac. I don't know specifically because I use an Android phone with my MacBook Air and Pro. My Note 4 just appears as a photo folder on my Air and Pro.
