Just signed up. Just got a used MacBook Pro mid 2012 with i5 cpu and 4gb. of ram. Will get used to it then probably upgrade to SSD and more ram.

Well i’m a new member although i’ve been a Mac user since giving up my Amiga 2000 back in the 90’s sometime. I’m currently breaking in my new 12.9” iPad Pro. Trying to find my home videos for instance. My Mini running OSX11.11 itunes shows 11 movies in the synch window with them all listed in the “on my device” section below. Yet the TV APP SAYS i have no videos. click library, white background w/giant bold black accusatory YOU HAVE NO VIDEOS !! with a little blue Library drop-down at upper left-click on that and get another big bold black accusatory LIBRARY with YOU HAVE NO VIDEOS again. Sheesh, gimme back my goddam Videos app! And why the hell do I have to enter my password every time my screen save activates-my devices other than my phone NEVER leave the house and our farmhouse is roughly 3/4 mile from nearest neighbor-who has his own wi-fi and I can’t get his signal so I doubt he’s stealing mine. And if you forget your password why can’t we just get a reminder and not have to keep changing it so we keep f-or getting it so we have to change it so...we’ll, you get the picture. I thought biometrics was supposed to make this all obsolete 20 years ago? Oh well, now you have an idea what a cranky old curmudgeon I am...oh, one more thing, I am the Democratic Party candidate for the 5th House district here in Montana, mostly because I was sick of seeing the Republican run unopposed!

newbie

I'm a newbie but have been observing for the past week or two...wanting to get a glimpse of what might be coming out at mac world. I"m going into my first year in college and was looking at macs b/c of my friend who has been a die-hard mac-user since he was born.

Anyway, the flat-panel imac always appealed to me and i just oredered the new 17" one the day it came out. And now that i'm about to be a mac-user i thought i owed it to myself to register here.
