A good place, for now
Heya, not new, but reborn. Coming back here to say thanks and participate in some threads, in prep to engage some of the toxicity stinking up the place in the politics forum. Deleted and purged my old existence here when the growing toxicity in society as a whole was growing again, and any glances here were a bad idea/distraction.

Good to be back, new folks, be cool to each other and chill out, be open to other perspectives especially the ones very different then yours, but never let a centrist mindset stop you from preventing harm to someone else or yourself. And overall this is a large, but great Macintosh and Apple centered community. Every group has their twits, just let them show their own selves, you do you, and it'll all be good, and good for all in time.

Hey, hey,
Signed up today! Been using Apple since around 2008. Today, between my wife and I we are using,

MacBook Pro 17" -(semi retired - used mainly as a 'Kindle' while working on things, lol)
2x MacBook Pro 15" Retina
iPad mini (wife)
iPhone SE (wife)
iPad Pro 9.7"
iPhone8+

Hobby photographer and living aboard our steel ketch for 7 years now (Caribbean island hopping currently Grenada) - based out of South Carolina and Brazil ☺️

Hope to learn a lot especially iPhone - up to now I avoided/hate phones but was told it is the 21st century so I surrendered to it lol...

Hi everyone!
How is it going?

Using iMac 27'', iPhone 7 Plus and MacBook Pro 15, 2015. Love hardware communities, learning new languages and travelling.

Macrumors seems like a great place. Happy to finally join your forum. I thought the time to go and ask for advice about iPhone would never come, but I was wrong.

Just installed iOS 11.3 beta 1 and got PC connectivity issues. Hope I'll find the anwers here.

This is my first post after been reading MacRumors for several years now, I do not consider myself an expert on Apple but I feel that participating in your discussions might be fun now that I have more time in my hands. Greetings everyone!

Hi!

Been a Mac user since Macintosh SE. It was a 11" monochrome display. I think it was a 20MB HD and 2MB RAM extendible to 4MB. Wow. 1989 this was. My workhorse was obtained 2012 so that I can do digital treatment planing and 3D rendering of Medical image (CT).

Best regards

New here - first post but I’ve made the vast majority of my computing purchases by stalking the forums here. Cannot believe the wealth of free tech support I’ve gotten from searching the forums, too.

You can post replies to threads in the iPhone forum, or start your own thread there if there isn't already a thread for the topic you want to discuss.

Just signed up since I found some threads on the fascinating original Mac Pro and being revived. I had no idea the extra server memory from my Dell PowerEdge 2950 could go into a Mac!

We also have 2 Macbooks (technically my wife's) as well as a bunch of wife's istuff that when something doesn't work, she asks me about, hehe.

Hi everyone,

Been a fan of MacRumors for a while, but never dived into the forums.

I'm 39 work as a Solutions Architect in Australia mainly dealing with Windows environments.

My current daily drivers are: -
- MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012);
- iPad Pro; and
- iPhone 8 Plus.

I'm also Apple certified (Apple Certified Support Professional 10.11).

An Apple fan from an early age (see photo below).

Looking forward to getting round the forum.

Hi to all readers,
Apple customer since 1987. So I can consider myself an Apple expert.
Hope my knowledge can help forum members to solve their questions.
My only comment to begin is that Apple software in general but iOS in particular has evolved to a degree of complexity that average users don’t have a full knowledge of many features and how to use them. For users that are not technically oriented there to many functions that are no easily accessible or they even don’t know how to use them.

Hi MacRumors, (Hey, y'all got my avatar. Nice touch!)
Long time semi-lurker for those OmiGodHELPME! times. I'm old, technologically inept, and nearing
the end, maybe. of my third Mac (2011 MBP. Only the G4 is truly dead. My white MacBook is semi-
retired in obscurity)

Thanks to all of you, belatedly, for your insights and shared advice- even though much of it is waaay
over my head.
