Here's another one, posted via Tapatalk though, so some compression artifacts may occur. The fur is wet anyway as it was raining lightly during the walk.
no OIS is bummer

Yeah you can see some very slight smudging along his back just behind his head, but the middle of his back is spot on and the tails not too bad. The colours are great though, look very iPhone ish to me. I prefer photo colours like that.
Lovely doggy though

For a 400 ish pounds phone its camera is peforming very nicely indeed, great to see Sony sensors being used too. Does it offer any form of water resistance of splash / rain resistance at all?

Some folks are complaining on XDA and some YouTube bloggers have also reported a jitter when scrolling and particularly scrolling slowly where it seems like the device either skipping frames or v-sync is disabled causing a shimmer / jitter that if sensitive to these things is really noticeable.

How are you early adopters finding it ? Any similar experience ?

Here's the video of the jitter.

Wow that sure is nit picking imho. I can see complaining about lack of OIS but that jitter was not noticeable unless pointed out.

I think we have come down to complaining about things that 99% of the people will not notice in everyday use.

I guess the point the folks on XDA are wanting to see is if this is affecting all OP5 devices and therefore a universal software problem or if there is a isolated issue and therefore more likely a hardware fault with the display that they need to RMA.

Also lack of OIS would only affect you taking photos or specifically moreover shooting video. An annoyance indeed but not one that affects everything you do. However an issue with the display scrolling or refreshing would affect you more often if your device suffers from it in almost every other task you do on the phone, and therefore nit picking or not if you had spent $539 you would want it acknowledged and remedied.

There are other problems some folks have found including some networks not getting any connection on LTE in Europe such as those on some Vodafone networks and also wifi issues when connecting to 5ghz wifi networks.

Hopefully OnePlus can fix these things via a quick software update.

All the way from OnePlus One they've promised that it should withstand everyday elements such as light rain, so I'd assume there's some kind of splash resistance. In addition, a friend with some connection to OnePlus got the info that splash resistance has been improved since 3T. This would be nice to see somewhere officially announced, though. Even better would be an official IP67/IP68 rating, but at least mine was OK when I took some photos in a light rain.

https://www.google.fi/amp/mashable.com/2017/06/20/oneplus-5-review.amp also has the following:

The phone's also splash-proof. It's not IP-rated for water-resistant, but OnePlus says it'll be able to handle rain and a drop in the toilet, no probs. Sure enough, my review unit survived the recent torrential downpours in NYC.

They did the same with OP3 at start. Kept on pushing until they've ironed out the bugs.
On OP3 they've managed to improve camera, I just hope that they have room to do the same on OP5.

Honestly nearly every smartphone will be just fine with a bit of rain. My old iPhone4 or Galaxy S4 didn't mind. Just don't get yourself or the phone soaking wet.

The more I read about the phone, the more impressed I am. I wish we had a firm date for the Essential phone, and more info. I may just pull the trigger on the OP5 tomorrow.

If it means no rear finger print sensor then them bezels can stay as long one as they like!

Yeah, I just don't get the "IF IT HAS BEZELS THEN IT'S A CRAP PHONE" mentality that people all of the sudden have. For one, it makes the phone strange to hold, as you're literally touching screen everywhere. And two, even the S8 is a two handed phone for me. I still either have to shimmy my hand up the phone to reach anything on the top of the phone or use a second hand. Sure, it looks kind of cool, but I don't think it makes phones that aren't bezel-less look outdated at all.

Oh don't get me wrong, the S8 is absolutely stunning as I'm sure most would agree. It didn't bother me that it was bezel-less it didn't hinder me in any way. The back fingerprint scanner did, but I didn't like it on Pixel either. I just prefer them on the front, or even the side like Sony often does. Although I know in America they leave the scanner out for some reason I read the other day and now can't remember. Thankfully us Brits get it!

The trend seems to be to move away from bezels so that's likely what we will see going forward by most companies.
