"It's not necessarily "copying" iphone X. if anything, Essential phone did this first and it looks much better than Iphone X."
fact 1 : Essential phone designed it first.
fact 2 : Iphone X designed introduced later in market.

Where does it imply Iphone X copied FROM Essential phone? How are your making the connection between the facts? logic?

Your argument clearly states that you meant Apple copied Essential notch.
Read it all...
"Android phones aren't copying iphone X notch. The competition for "bezelless" phone has been going on for some time. Look at phones from few years ago. Galaxy 5, 6, 7, 8, 9... All trying to remain physically same but with bigger screen by shrinking or eliminating button completely. So it's a natural progression.

It's not necessarily "copying" iphone X. if anything, Essential phone did this first and it looks much better than Iphone X."

The OnePlus 5T was a beast of a phone other than its average camera. I can’t wait for the release of the OP6, notch and all. This is one of very few Android phones that gets my attention since it has an alert slider like iPhone with 3 clicks (normal, DnD and silent). That Blue one looks sweet!!

Also per that link, for those who despise the notch, the firm will be offering options to hide it via the software, similar to the Huawei P20.

The OnePlus 6 announcement cannot come soon enough. If you take the 5T with the processor upgrade, same RAM quantity, add water resistance, improve the cameras, and add stereo speakers, we have a budget winner. Price better be about $500 too.
