So, you envy a device you can readily get, but won’t because it operates on Android?

The iPhone XS Max has a big beautiful display and smooth scrolling as well. It seems like you are annoyed with the notch. If Apple got rid of the notch, I wouldn’t see anything the OnePlus 7 Pro has that would make me jealous.

I'm in the same boat. My Xs max just works. It always works. Never does it shutter or crash. I love the 7 pro and want to try. 2 years ago I switched for a month to the Note 8. I hated the lag with Gboard on that device. A lot has changed in 2 years and I might try the 7 pro. Idk. My husband has and iPhone so that's always hard. Idk. I struggle too

Anyway, for now I’m stuck because of the eco system, iCloud and what I’m use to. Maybe one day.

You are locking yourself in. I have been on iOS forever and made the switch to the OP7 Pro because it is the only device that checked almost all the boxes I wanted (wireless charging being the only one missing) and I am blown away at the performance, this screen is the best i have ever used, and the battery life is astounding with such amazing screen performance and the 90hz.

It will change how you view your phones when using it consistently. I picked up my wife's X after using the OP7P for a few days and you can easily tell the smooth differences in scrolling and buttery reactions on the screen. You have to play with it in person.

HIGHLY recommended at the price point for what you get in a device.

I buckled and ordered at 10am today.

Should be here by the end of the week. Let’s hope I keep it longer than my previous switch attempts.

Congrats!

Day 5 and chugging along and only miss from iOS is my watch. Nothing else at all and absolutely loving the flexibility and customizations.

Have decided I’m going to go get a decent “proper” watch this time around. Having tried the Galaxy watch and a few others I know it’ll only end in a disappointment so going to go old school this time. Part of me is quite looking forward to being free from constant notifications.

I am with you on that. Just looking for some of those good looking watches for a nice price i have read about.

MVMT or something and others. Research to do.

Anywhere where money isn’t a major issue. Currently that’s only USA. Had the other countries been rich enough, it would have been the same. The reason people go with Android if because buying an iOS flagship every 12 months is expensive. But if you can do that, even battery life (the weakest point of older iPhones) beats that of most Android phones in 3-4 months tops.
take your apple fan boy out of this thread....

Man....I checked out the 7 pro the other day at T-Mobile. I was surprised at the smoothness of the device....had me like....

I was definitely impressed. I would definitely switch from the XS max to the 7 pro. I’m still debating on that switch though.

It is definitely something to behold in person. It is quite astonishing to see that big of a display that is so seamless and uninterrupted combined with the brightness and 90hz scrolling.

Gamechanger.

Saw it in person today, beautiful phone. If I still had the Pixel 3XL I would switch in a heartbeat. But I don't see a noticeable upgrade over my S10 plus. If I see an opportunity to sell my S10 and get the OP7 Pro and make some money, I may do it

It's not my reason. I just don't like iOS as much as Android and seems it's always going to lack the things that Android can do. I haven't had an iPhone since 2010
And I don't buy a new phone every 12 months regardless of which one I have.

Only 17 hours in, but the battery is kicking butt. I'm at 65% with over 3 hours SoT after removing it from the charger 17 hours ago . I'm at 90hz and auto switch on the resolution . Using the dark theme .

Yea this battery is a champ and impressing me big time. I leave it at 1440p/90hz and I routinely have plenty of juice to spare.

I usually keep my brightness around 50-70% based on the room I am in.

I feel like full brightness on this screen is burning my corneas!

I have both the 7 Pro and the S10+ in ceramic. The S10 is the superior device, build quality and feel is just sleeker. The One Plus 7 is chunky and heavy.

Disagree for my needs.

The seamless, uninterrupted display and that 90hz makes going back to others phones feel like a huge step back now. Maybe it doesn't feel as heavy for me as coming from an XS Max the OP7 feels fantastic in the hand (i have huge hands :)

I will say the Samsung devices feel so light for a premium phone this go around and is impressive.

It comes down to speed, screen performance, and OS for my needs over Samsung line.
