However, I still want to give you a peek into how production is ramping up. Check out the graph (Global production) below.

junaugplan-jpg.46012

So August/early September for those who are willing to wait.

Im happy with my phone right now so I don't mind waiting.

Google/LG also ramped up production of the Nexus 4 from 90,000 a month to over 550,000 a month after the HUGE demand. It took them about 3 months to do that.

http://techcrunch.com/2013/02/08/millionth-nexus-4/

Using the production estimates in the XDA developer forum thread, members have also estimated Nexus 4 production run totals by month — which appear to show production ramping up considerably in January. The estimates break down as follows:

October: 70,000
November: 90,000
Dec: 210,000
January: 550,000+

They could have at least spent more than 10 seconds on a worthless graph. At least one person over there isn't buying Carl's BS.

Graph is almost insulting without a Y-axis scale ..

Its just a red line on a paper without a scale. :)

If true, that is good news for those that WANT to buy it.

Less demand = easier to get your hand on it.

You clearly are not spending enough time on their forum. They once again failed early members today .......

Jamez did you get yours yet ?

I got mine today.
It is the 64GB Sandstone Black
First thoughts:
Best packaging for a phone I have ever seen. Great attention to detail. The box was top notch. The cables are great very nice detail and different that most. the ends that plug into the phone and USB charger are coated in plastic.
Everything (boxes and accessories)match the red and white OnePlus company theme.....Impressed! Included is an SIM ejector USB cable and charger.

The screen is gorgeous! Bright and easy on the eyes.
The phone is awesome. Feels very light and easy to handle. It feels lighter than my M8.
The back is textured and very easy to grip but soft at the same time. If that makes sense. The pictures of the back make it look like sandpaper but it is not.

The phone is very fast. Going through the menus is very fluid just as you would expect from a 2.5 quad core processor with 3GB of ram! :) No lag ....no stutter at all!

The phone was literally built one week ago 7/02/2014.

Thanks for the review jamezr! I really want to move on from this stupid invite crap, but you may have just kept me afloat. I've also wanted an M8 for some time now and may still get one, but I am also anxiously awaiting the iphone 6 as I have an upgrade available. I feel like I'm in gadget hell, I don't know what I want anymore!!

Thanks for the pics. Looks great. Once you've had a chance to make or receive a call, can you comment about the earpiece volume? Quite a few posts mention the earpiece volume being too low that it's hard to hear the other end.

I will test call volume and music through headphones too and report back.

One thing i have to say is the music coming through the stereo speakers is ALMOST as good as the M8. Not quite though. The M8 has the best sound quality/clarity on any phone i have ever tested. But the OPO comes close…..

I'd get one if the yellow-screen issue is really fixed. The size will take some getting used to for me, as I think the S5/M8 is about as big as I'll willing to carry in my pocket as a daily device.

My only concern is that by the time availability without invite-system arrives, we'll be close to the next Nexus/Silver release.

I have the One M8 running a GPE ROM and very happy with this phone.

But just right now, an invite showed up in my e-mail for the OnePlus. Not sure I want it, but would like your opinion between the M8 vs. the OnePlus ?

- Is battery life as good or better than the M8 ?
- Feel in hand ? Is the OnePlus too big, or still ok one handed ?
- Screen quality ? The M8 is pretty good outdoors, is the OnePlus good outdoors too ?
- Performance ? The M8 is very snappy fast, is the OnePlus ?

I know its been impossible to get one but where in the 1+1 forums do I signup for an invite?

Maybe I get lucky.

Edit: never mind, there's a bunch of threads with "invite" in the title. I guess I'll go through those.

I will try to answer your questions. First off I absolutely LOVE my M8. So that is the bar any other phone has to measure up to.

- Is battery life as good or better than the M8 ?
I haven't had the OPO long enough to judge battery life yet. But so far it seems to be on par with the M8....so far. It has been off of the charger for 5 hours and it is at 95%.

- Feel in hand ? Is the OnePlus too big, or still ok one handed ?
It feels nice in the hand. It is lighter than the M8 and bigger too. I posted a side by side with my M8 a couple of posts ago. I have big hands....but would not be able to use the OPO one handed. But i do not use any phone one handed to be honest.

- Screen quality ? The M8 is pretty good outdoors, is the OnePlus good outdoors too ?
Outdoors it is a tie between the M8 and OPO.....

One negative is the NAV buttons at the bottom of the screen. They light up when in use. But they are very dim. The "back" "home" and "recents" buttons are in the same locations as most phones. The back button is on the right side then home in the middle then recents on the left. But you can rearrange their location if you choose to do so.

I called another cell phone and my landline at work. They both seemed normal. The call quality was clear. The volume was rather loud to be honest. I had to turn the volume down. I tried a set of earphones and they worked as one would expect. Nothing out of the norm...... Hope that helps!

Congrats on the invite...how did you get the invite if I may ask? I am member #8178 over there and hoping these early supporter invites extend to me, but I doubt it....

I signed up at the website back in March, and never really posted on their forums much at all, maybe a few times back then, and never since.

I checked my e-mail this morning, and it said I had an invite ready for me, and would expire in 1 day.

Not sure i want to spend $300 on this, already having the awesome One M8, and with the Nexus 6 due out in three months or so, and will be like $399, and a better spec'd phone, I might rather just wait the few months for the N6 instead.

I love the gestures on this phone.
When the screen is off....draw a circle on the display and it automatically activates the camera. A " V "activates the flashlight and by < or > to switch between music tracks. A vertical wiping with two fingers "| |" or better known as the break character) will start or pause the music playback. A double tap on the screen wakes up the device. A double tap on the status bar puts the device to sleep again.....

Purchase it, and I'm sure someone here on the board is more than willing to buy it off you.
