Ordered new iMac 2017, what's your ETA?

I like that outer box, snowtrooper. It would come in really handy when it comes time to sell. I just picked up my new iMac at the Apple Store last week and they did not offer me any outer box, just the white one. I'm wondering what the standard practice is supposed to be? I definitely would have taken it if offered. For others who have taken delivery this year - was the outer box included?
The outer box is strictly used for shipping. You might ask the Apple Store if they can give it to you since it definitely got shipped to them in one.
I always order online so I always get the outer box and it does really come in handy for shipping when I resell.

Mine finally arrived and I will give it to Apple with their shipping. The outer box combined with the inner box is pretty sturdy. After spending a little time setting it up I think this is going to be awesome. 20 minutes after opening the box I already upgraded to 40GB of ram.
I'm refreshing Apple site every 10 minutes .. "Preparing for shipment" status since yesterday. I got a bad feeling about this, weekend is near. If they won't send it today I will suffer until monday or worse.... I feel like waiting for Christmas

Ordered Aug 8th from Apple Czech Republic, expected delivery Aug 22nd-24th, although I see today it's already 'preparing for dispatch' so I'm hoping it might arrive sooner

Yeah, really, and it's especially remarkable since on this very page there is someone who ordered in early July with expected delivery of late August.

My order from Aug 8th has just changed to dispatched but delivery is still scheduled for August 23rd, should it take that long? Ordered in Czech Republic. I remember my 2012 iMac came direct from China, will this be the same or is it most likely coming from Ireland?
i7, 32GBs of RAM, 2TB fusion, magic mouse 2 and the extended magic keyboard. Ordered on August 3rd in Israel through an authorized distributor, since there are no official Apple stores here. Still waiting not very patiently. I haven't used a mac in 3 years, so I really can't wait too long for this one.

Not sure if this is a new norm, but I am getting my 27" with 512GB SSD within a week of ordering. Ordered on Aug 4th, shipped from China and UPS truck already bringing it in a couple of hours today (regular free shipping). Am located in NYC area.
Ordered directly from Apple as I wanted to swap with trackpad 2 & numeric key (for $80 additional). Estimated was Aug 18-21 when placed initially. Not bad at all, especially considering it was coming from China as orders w/ 512GB SSD would be.

Ordered 10am central time on 8-10, i7/580/512gb ssd and it is showing 8/19-8/23 delivery window. CC charge for $1 yesterday and full price today pending. (I'm Midwest USA)
