What a joke, they shipped mine to the wrong country... just a call that since the wrong guy opened I need to wait for a reorder taking another 8 days. What a bummer.

It arrived. I am in heaven now.

So I ordered BTO on June 6th in the afternoon (NY Time).

Still processing, no change in over a week now.

It's driving me INSANE.

I ordered mine on June 7 and my estimated dates are the same as yours. And I am 'Still Processing" as well.

Pretty brutal wait TBH.

Status of my 6/7 BTO just switched to shipped with a 6/19 estimated delivery (vs a 6/20-6/22 original estimate).

Took a day for it to show up in UPS' system, but UPS picked it up in Sunnyvale on the evening of 6/13 and they estimate delivery to CT on Tuesday 6/20.

I hear ya. It took what seemed like ages for mine to flip from processing. I ordered same time, but my range was June 14-16. Shipped out yesterday for June 15 delivery. :) It will flip soon!

Same with me-except I am just up in Oregon, so I have a delivery date of tomorrow :)

One of the few times the west coast gets something before the east coast :)

Ordered mine on June 7th, original ship estimate of Jun 15 - Jun 19, received it this morning via FedEx

I ordered a BTO on the 8th.

Delivery estimate was 19th - 21st.

But it's here (Ireland --> Finland) today (14th) ... geez, that was fast. Unfortunately, I was at work when they visited my house - and naturally since UPS delivers at random times during office hours, I'll have to distance work tomorrow to be able to receive the package then.

With another delivery service, I received an SMS asking me to reply my preferred delivery time (e.g. morning 8-10, evening 17-19), but with UPS that's a no-no. Randomness prevails.

Ah well, I'll feel better when I get my hands on the device!
Wow, that's really fast! May I ask what the shipping date was from Ireland? (I'm also from Finland and I placed my BTO on the 9th and have estimated delivery between 26th and 27th. It was shipped today from Ireland.)

Ordered on the 7th and was still processing this morning. I started a chat and it was updated to preparing for shipment. I am very close to the Fremont facility so I hope it will arrive shortly.

Mine was scheduled to arrive today. An hour before the scheduled delivery window, they delayed it to tomorrow. :( I worked from home to receive it today. Disappointed...

Call your local distribution center (FedEx or UPS). I've had luck with calling the distro centers directly and letting them know the situation and I've had 100% success with them calling the driver and telling them to drop it off or they'll set it aside once the driver gets back from their route and you can usually pick it up from 5pm-6pm at the distro center.

It's a hassle but it'll save you from having to work from home for another day.

Finally shipped! Ordered June 8th with estimated delivery of June 15th-17th. It just arrived in Shanghai and will be delivered to me on June 17th.
Japan gets deliveries on Saturday? UPS and FedEx only do that in the USA if it's an overnight package. Just curious.

Picked up my new imac today. Shipped to local store, supposed to be there on Friday but showed up early. Hard drive is too small to migrate my old machine (from time capsule backup) to. So, any advice on what hard drive I should get for more space. Can I just plug something in and have the imac decide where all the files go? I just want to be able to use my imac like my last one and not worry where the files live.

Wow! I'm an American living in Japan for 23 years now and I had completely forgotten about that!

Yes, the major Japanese courier services, Kuroneko Yamato (which Apple uses) as well as Sagawa Express, deliver on Saturdays, Sundays and even holidays.

The US couriers need to up their game.

Wow, that's awesome! Weekend delivery would be great. In some cases you can get weekend delivery from Amazon but if I order something from Newegg or B&H Photo and it arrives to the local UPS/FedEx warehouse after 9 AM on Friday, I have to wait until Monday normally :(

Although I'm not sure how I'd feel about making people work on a holiday though.

I hope everybody gets theirs, i am glad mine arrived and i just played 8k youtube video for 25 minutes in highest resolution full screen and it only had 9 frames dropped, never had that before, my iMac 2009 had dropped frames all over the place. Games are running all above 100fps, things like minecraft in 5k are 315 in simple things like sky & ground, and 150 to 200fps with complex things that usually cause issues. cs:go runs all settings high and 16xaa at 75fps in complex action moments, and 125fps everywhere else. Normal settings or default settings in most games are all buttery silky smoothness, i haven't had that on a mac in a while.

Anyway, scrubbing through 4k video shot in bright outside light with clear skies are beyond instant, it's great in iMovie, Premier and Final cut. Importing the 4k footage feels like you're working 720p stuff.. it's snappy, instant, less than seconds and big 11gb clips are imported in projects from external usb3 ssd disks in under a minute.

retouching in photoshop for 4 hours in a row went without any hickups and it never even stuttered, processing d800 nikon camera stuff (a rental) went without any issues. Zooming in and out, and responsiveness to shortcuts and what not and rendering from filters, non destructive layers, blah blah.. it all is as if you're dealing with old regular screenshots or something, no realising the files are actually quite big .psd projects and the machine doesnt even blink.

benchmarks are one thing, but just picking up the thing and getting to work on it for a few hours lets you compare it to what you are used to and either it meets or doesn't meet your expectations. real world usage is perfectly fine, two thumbs up. It was almost worth waiting two years .. maeh.

I don't even want to think how the iMac Pro feels for those who can afford it. If only i struck oil underneath my apartment haha.

For those panicking about processing items to prepping to ship and still waiting, the extra couple of days .. dont fret, it will be there, and you will heave years of fun ..

I am scared going from default macOS Sierra on HFS+ 1TB SSD to macOS High Sierra with APFS later this summer/fall and forgetting i just did 'copy' on a 11gb file and it didn't just copy it under 12s (as it does now) but it's pretty much instant, because of the new way the file system works.

The fan turned on a few times, i was surprised, .. it didn't go faster and louder and faster and louder, it was just a neutral humming of a fan in a system turning on. which was the first sound it ever made, it's dead silent beyond that, a load screen that is black.. you wonder if things crashed.. but no, it's just reading in 40gb game files for handful of seconds.. it's just being quiet and doing it's thing.

Every time I have a system and i see others post their benchmarks, theirs are literally always higher than mine;
