Mine arrived today (ordered June 7). Unfortunately I'm swamped with work and won't have time to set it up until tonight.

I ordered 2 x 27" i5 512SSD radeon 580 last sunday (11th) and they are shipped today.
Will arive on the 20th

Comming from a 2010 27", so must be a good upgrade.

Ordered on 6/06, canceled on 6/07, new order put in on 6/07, just got confirmation that it's shipped and will be here on 6/19 before noon. Shipping from Fremont to Alberta, Canada.

27" 4.2GHz quad-core Intel Core i7, Turbo Boost up to 4.5GHz
• 8GB 2400MHz DDR4
• 512GB SSD
• Radeon Pro 580 with 8GB video memory
• Magic Trackpad 2
• Magic Keyboard with Numeric Keypad - US English

I called them and they said it is the i7 upgrade that is causing the delay. Maybe they underestimated how many would order that upgrade so they are waiting for a shipment from Intel... either way I'm not happy! I'll be going out of town for a week right around the new date, so not sure how that will work out.

There is tremendous demand for the 7700k other than Apple. Even as they cozy up to Intel with the LTE Deals there may be supply constraints. IMO, for $200 the 7700k is a no brainer. It's a beast. Especially for 4k Video, and large RAW files. I was VERY surprised to see Apple offer it. :apple:

Finally switched to 'Preparing for Shipment.'

My credit card was charged 3 days ago if that info helps anyone.

I finally found something to stress test the cpu/gpu etc a little. Knowing how this would run on the other system would mean 12 fps on each mc client, and it would not really respond. On the new iMac i get 120+ fps on each client when i make it bigger on the screen, and it is as responsive as it is just 1 .. that is just so cool, haha.

But yeah, couldn't really get a peak out of that cpu stat window, 5 x mc clients did the trick. it finally started going up and stayed there.

But the system doesn't slow down one bit, the only difference is that i hear the fans turning on.

Dang my order has a 'unexpected delay' and will not ship for 3 to 5 more days with target delivery at least 10 days out from the original estimate.

This is getting a little ridiculous.

Took 7 full days from ship to deliver. (usa) Ridiculous. Next time I'll try to order from a 3rd party vendor with faster shipping and no tax.

I had luck. At first bank denied payment because of low drawing limit. After a lot of calls and 3 days it finally worked and last Monday iMac was shipped and arrived on Wednesday. So even though payment problems I received my order in a week.

Mine's been sitting at a UPS facility about 250mi away since lunch yesterday. However, it's upgraded with the 7700K, and given what folks with that upgrade are starting to experience with fulfillment delays, I'm still happy it'll be here on Monday (so UPS says)... even though I coulda driven there yesterday, and been back for a late dinner last night! :)

It's literally the worst. It's shocking the Apple isn't more apologetic about it. And it's strange that many i7 people seem to be ordering much later (I ordered the 6th) and getting theirs much quicker. Sigh.

I ordered my top of the line w/ 1TB ssd last Monday (the 12th) and they gave me a date of the 26th. I ordered at an Apple Store, and the guy said that the 26th was a soft date and that it could arrive sooner.

I got my order will ship in 2-4 days email this past Wed. and my order is slated to arrive between 6/19 - 6/23.

I went with the 27" i7, 512ssd, Radeon 580, 8gb ram, +ten key US kb. model (picked up an extra 32GB of crucial ram to install myself)

I'm in Japan, so I'm glad the Apple Store let me customize what kind of KB I wanted. Not a fan of JP keyboards and prefer US ones.

Ordered 27" 3.4 i5 w/ 256GB SSD late on the 11th. ETA while processing was 22-24th.

Shipped late on the 15th from California. Current scheduled delivery date is 21st by the end of the day in St. Louis.

ETA to Salem, NH In Store Pickup is Jun 19
I just got a text that my iMac is ready for pickup. So mine came 3 days earlier than the original estimate.

Ordered mine on the night of the 10th with initial scheduled delivery 6/20 to 6/22. Upgraded to i7, 512GB SSD, and numeric Magic Keyboard. Sat at Processing since, but sometime this afternoon it switched to Preparing For Shipment. I live in San Diego, I wonder how long it will take and where it will be coming from.

Ordered my i5 512GB SSD 27 inch last night. CC charged today, got flagged as possible fraud. Luckily, any fraud alert gets sent to my phone via text immediately, and i went to the Apple site and used my debit card instead. Funny how the bank has no issue with me using debit card, but the CC always gets flagged. Did that with my iPhone too. What good is using apple pay on my phone to purchase the computer, using the card associated with the Apple pay account. Should get it between the 24th and 28th but I bet sooner since the money was taken immediately when I used my debit card.

I really like hearing all these experience, please keep them coming. And don't just disappear when yours arrives, let us know how it is when you unpacked it, did anybody have broken parts, screens, or damaged packaging, or something strange when they boot up? I hope it's okay for all (can't imagine it's not arriving in good standing)

i7 512GB SSD 27" ordered June 8th, shipped on June 14th and arrived yesterday, June 17th. Popped in 2x16GB of Crucial Ballistix RAM in addition to the 8GB of stock Apple RAM prior to setting up and everything is working perfectly, 40GB at 2400MHz.

Coming from a Late 2013 (pre-4k) iMac I am blown away by this screen. In spite of a lot of active processes, I am also not hearing the fans as often as some others with the i7 are reporting. They never seem to engage when idle.

I ordered the new Magic Keyboard with the number pad and I love it! The action seems better than on the old wired Apple keyboard. Also, unlike with other Bluetooth keyboards this one connects 100% reliably from power on and I have no issues getting into recovery mode or resetting PRAM, etc.

So far, I must say I am very pleased with this purchase!

Well here's an anecdote for you, then - when I received my iMac on Tuesday, I noticed something was rattling loudly around in the box. I was worried I was about to witness an iMac in multiple pieces thanks to UPS's manhandling (the UPS driver dropped it on the ground right in front of me when delivering it so I dread to think what else it went though when I wasn't watching!). What it actually was was the power cable, which instead of being put in the cut-out in the polystyrene intended for it, was instead just rolling around the box with its metal prongs exposed. Fortunately, it did not damage the iMac.

Packing up my 2015 iMac a couple of days later to ship to a buyer I realised why the factory worker couldn't be bothered to do it properly - coiling the cable to fit it in its space is a right pain! :p

My BTO iMac 27" which I ordered on the night of the 10th was shipped yesterday and is scheduled to arrive via UPS Ground on Tuesday the 20th. I live in San Diego and it's being shipped from the Bay Area (assembled in Fremont, UPS has it in Sunnyvale). Can't wait to get the thing in my grubby little hands!

Same thing happened with my iMac.

I ordered my iMac (CTO 580: i7, 512GB SSD) on June 9th with Express Delivery, status was processing until June 15th, then changed to preparing for shipment and 2 hours later it was shipped. It shipped from Cork and arrived in Vienna 14h later and was delivered another 8h later. UPS status never changed to "out for delivery", so I wasn't expecting it to be delivered on Friday, but Monday...

Coming from a 2011 i5 6970M iMac: I can hear the fan at idle but it doesn't bother me as much as the dreaded HDD in my old iMac. In 2014, I opened it and popped a SSD in so the HDD would only spin up whenever needed...
