That's why I can't grasp all this babying of devices, and buying those extra fancy finishes: Yes, it looks and feels nice, and it will probably be close to immaculate when you treat it like that.
But it's still no more or less just another consumable product, made to be used up and thrown away.
I'm not saying it's ideal.
But you're not going to make any Apple product last a lifetime or somehow turn into an asset.
Only the 1st gen factory sealed never opened never used products might be assets one day.
But the ones you've used, forget it. That's just another thing that'll soon be trash.
