hmmmm Photo Booth is missing....

Maybe it's just not ready for DP1, since it's kinda heavy on the skeuomorphism. Like voice memos wasn't ready for the first iOS 7 betas last year, but was added in later ones. Also Game Center looks kinda unfinished so maybe they rushed to make that some what complete instead of PhotoBooth, since I guess it's more popular.

definitely faster on the MacBook Air than on the MacBookPro retina late 2013, unless on the MacBook Pro i set the "stupid" 1280x800 resolution. I hope performance is going to increase on the Intel Iris.

The Finder looks a bit odd with that gaussian-blurred sidebar, while leaving the menu bar looking so solid. :/

Has the tabbing behaviour changed? By that I mean, will folders on, say, the Dock or the desktop be opened in a new tab rather than a window?

What I've found from my quick play with Yosemite:

Radio buttons, drop down menus and menu tabs all look a lot different. Here is a screen that displays all of them, I find radio buttons especially weird but I'm sure I'll get used to them:

Calendar colours are a lot brighter, though thankfully they don't translate as vividly into the app unless the event is selected:

The dock 'fills up' when minimising a window:

Spotlight does currency conversion (I know they showed distance conversion in the Keynote, but I was wondering whether currency would work since it relies on fluctuating exchange rates):

Holding down Command while selecting something in Spotlight shows its file path:

Full screen Finder's a bit weird with the sidebar:

Bug: iMessage displays two flashing text cursors when you first compose a message:

Only other bugs I've found is that something blurred behind Safari flashes while the status bar is enabled, the battery indicator was green when fully charged but stuck at about 30%, and that no dock icons rendered until I restarted it. Those are all fairly minor issues and it seems pretty stable, though quite a few apps still don't support it so I wouldn't recommend it on your main machine (my Yosemite install's on a 500GB USB 2.0 drive, which surprisingly runs quite well.)

I just had two questions I was hoping someone could help me with:

1. Have they returned the three finger navigation gesture for Finder or do you still need to use cmd [ or ]?

2. Could someone type uname -a into terminal to see what kernel version Yosemite is using?

Thanks

Just want to thank everyone for the feedback, info and screen shots. :) I am not sure if this has been mentioned but I was wondering if there is any kind of cool welcoming movie or anything like they had in leopard? I kind of miss that.

The Sites folder icon is still here if you manually create the folder, and it has the new design!

If its bad on the late 2013 retina Macbook Pro then I'm guessing its worse with the retina Macbook Pros equipped with the HD 4000. I hope this is just because it is unoptimized and that we won't have to trade-off performance for visual changes...

itunes interface

can someone please post a picture of what itunes looks like in yosemite? if the interface has changed at all? please :)

Here's the new white dock app folder and launchpad folder theme. Much improved over the black with a white border IMO. Also notice no more dock when you're in a launchpad folder.

Here's a flat iTunes icon for you.

Hmm, can you still drag an icon from the utility folder to the dock to add it? Does the dock pop up?

Reminders is actually useful now, as you can do the last monday of each monday, 5 days before the end of the month etc. Might move away from Things now.

Have they changed the iTunes icon? On some of these screenshots it looks like the "current" version!

Btw, is the new Spotlight any better than Alfred?
