That menu option has probably been present for as long as there has been the ability to log in.
It's present in Mavericks, and so on.
Christ, I feel foolish.
Is ANY of the menu new? I just felt suspicious after installing DP7...

The drop-down shadow is far too large though (some wallpapers look crap on Yosemite because of it). You don't need shadows this large to determine layers (I'm a Graphic Designer).
They removed the software update option. It has been a part of the App Store for a while, so no need for duplication.
It's barely even there though... I thought the old shadows ruined some wallpapers. White ones especially. It left an annoying dark line separating the light menu bar and wallpaper.
I actually just checked some different wallpapers and they may actually removed it altogether... kind of hard to tell though.

And the dock preferences.
Is everyone getting this transparent menu window in dark mode ? Love it.

Hi everyone, I did some screenshoot of Mavericks and Yosemite icons extracted from /System/Library/CoreServices/CoreTypes.bundle.
The screenshoots are about folder icons, sidebar icons and other changed icons of the OSes and the icons are equal aligned from screenshoot to screenshoot for easy comparison.
I hope you enjoy it![]()
Not sure if this has been discussed, and I couldn't find anything on search...
Is there any specific reason I can't add network volumes under Devices on the Finder sidebar anymore?
Its a bug, with certain apps, i think will be patched in the future for the developer or Apple
Public Beta 2 bug:
When you are trying to format your iphone through itunes, itunes will crash and leave your phone in DFU mode. When you retry the process, itunes crashes every time.
Be careful. Do NOT try to format your phone unless you have a backup computer to do it.
Has anyone figured out a way to change default behavior for clicking the green stoplight / maximize button? I want to change it back to the old way where it maximized rather than went full screen.
I'm aware of clicking while holding down option, but I don't want to have to do that. I'd rather have them the other way around.

Also I've noticed when plugging Thunderbolt Display and External Speakers (into Headphone jack on MBP), sometimes audio defaults to the TBD and sometimes it defaults to the headphone jack/external speakers.
A simply unplug of speakers, and replug in fixes it -- but it's still annoying.
In Mavericks the mid spec 15" retina with the 2gb card still shows Iris Pro under graphics in about this Mac. On Yosemite it shows the 2gb Nvidia.
