Safari should allow multiple home pages the way Firefox and Chrome does. I want a set of pages to open when the browser is launched. That is still not supported.
Yeah, could be convenient in some cases. Top Sites works for me though.

Thanks for the info. My work around was to set a tab on the Favorites Bar called Home Page and load those links there. When I launch Safari, I right click on the Home Page folder and choose Open In Tabs. It works, but it is just an extra step that could be eliminated.

Try this:
1. Open all the sites you want as "home pages".
2. Click Bookmarks - "Add Bookmarks For These Tabs…" and save to the Favorites Bar.
3. One click on that bookmark should suffice (no right-clicking and "Open In Tabs" required).

I found this, and it works pretty well. Saved me the right-click/open in tabs dance. I bypassed steps 1-3 and used the folder that I had already created on the Favorites Bar.

For Safari:

  • Open a new Safari window, then create tabs for all the pages you’d like to load when the browser first starts.
  • Open the Bookmarks menu, then select “Add Bookmarks for These (x) Tabs.”
  • You’ll need to pick a name for your the bookmarks folder you’re about to create; you might want to choose “Startup tabs,” or another easy-to-remember name.
  • Next, open the Safari menu and select Preferences, then click the General tab.
  • Find the “Safari opens with” setting and select “A new window” from the pull-down menu.
  • Then, for the “New windows open with” setting, select “Choose tabs folder,” then select the folder you just created in the window that appears.

Quit Safari, launch it again, and you’ll see your startup tabs waiting for you.

Here's another gif of the differences between the last beta of iTunes 12 and the one just released today:

It may seem like nothing but as a designer I find this very interesting. Lots of nitpicky, visual changes now. Gettin' close!

Always fascinating to see subtle changes cause such increase in readability. (terrible sentence, but I just woke up)

EDIT (1 million edits):

A couple of things (other than the changes to the text) i noticed in iTunes:
  • Sidebar is finally transparent (new?)
  • New symbol (ellipsis) for additional actions when you hover over a song title, replacing the >
  • Activating the Up Next list or the ellipsis-menu will turn the sidebar opaque (Not sure if I like this. A bit distracting.)
  • Click artwork in Now Playing-bar to show MiniPlayer (might have been there, but the hover-over icon is different)
  • Changes to the MiniPlayer
  • Changes to the Podcast-section
  • Loading bar in App Store is different
  • Go To-buttons for the App store when your library is empty have become flat (Only an outline. I like it.)
  • The arrow pointing to the artwork when you're viewing an album in Albums-view is now rounded (new?)
  • Hover over the library icons will show additional information, like how many unplayed podcasts you got to listen to (new? at least changes to the text)

YES, FINALLY! Also, here is a screenshot of the new minelayer. The title bar changes with the album art :)

Nice taste. Rilo Kiley is one of my favorite bands.

WOOO didn't even know the sidebar was transparent until now. I had to permanently use album view because of it. Now I'll switch back and forth.

I tried Yosemite Public Beta 2, and it's very slow on my computer compared to Mavericks and especially Mountain Lion. Is anyone else having this problem? Fresh installation, by the way.

Exactly. Thank you.;)

Sorry, I'm confused … do you mean to have the close, minimise and full-screen buttons in the middle of the bar, at the top of that bar, above where the artist name appears?

OK, now I understand, hopefully! Sorry. The three buttons, top left, shown in https://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?p=19621820#post19621820 are
not aligned with the adjacent << || >> and so on.

All three should remain to the left, but be lower.

Suddently Handoff works

Hi folks!
I just noticed that suddenly, Handoff started working again (Between my MacBook with Yosemite DP7 and my iPhone with iOS 8 GM)!

When you hover over your album art in the player controls, you get an option to quickly switch to the mini player.

All my problems with Yosemite revolve around Safari, which I still cannot use as my main browser, because of the following:

1. Tab management is bad. I hate the lack of favicons and the dynamic width tabs. Glims used to fix this, but it doesn't work yet, so I'm out of luck.

2. On all my applications, I set (from System Preferences / Keyboard Shortcuts) CMD+1 to Previous Tab and CMD+2 to Next Tab. That way, I can easily cycle between applications, windows and tabs in a similar fashion, using only my left hand (also to quit tabs, apps, since all those shortcurts are on the left side of the keyboard). Unfortunately, this behaviour doesn't work in Safari, because CMD+1 and CMD+2 are somehow hardcored into the application and set to different things.

3. All links which open in a new window, due to some bug, cause a full 1 second freeze before opening. CMD + click or manually Open in New Tab work just fine, but simply clicking on any target=blank link has this lag that is driving me insane.

I love the responsiveness and the fact that they fixed private browsing, but the things above prevent me from using Safari on a regular basis.

Yup that's right. Same as Safari, System Preferences, etc.
