Anyone try the to boot into RECOVERY HD 10.11 ? It is stuck at showing cursor and loading bar (but nothing happend, even after 2hours).

Does have anyone of you , some kind of benefit from clean install rather than just "update" ?

Tried an update (on an external clone) and it was a complete failure. wouldn't boot. kernel panics. So I then tried a clean install with a migrate & transfer from (master) system drive to my external, and that worked. Including a message that said my wacom drivers were not compatible. Probably the source of the havoc.

However after about 15 min, the system went kaput again and I haven't booted back into it since.

So, an unknown connection issue?

not really. when you click on the little error icon next to the mailbox name, nothing appears. The error in the top right hand corner of the Mail app shows login error, that the account needs an application specific password.

The connection is there, it just doesn't authenticate with the two factor properly.

Looks like you have enabled two factor authentication? I don't want it because a strong enough password is enough.

According to what I know, two step authentication needs special support to let it work. Could you try disabling this as a workaround?

Because Apple knows that no one uses Exchange and everyone should be using Apple's mail app right? So why support it . . . Sheesh... this kind of stuff really bothers me.

Well, Apple added support of Microsoft exchange from iOS 2, if what I remembered was correct.

I've upgraded to El Capitan, so did the OS software like Photos. Too many bugs happened, so I clean-installed Yosemite again; but Photos app doesn't open, because the current library is a newer version (from El Capitan). Any way to “downgrade” the library, so that it may be open in Yosemite>Photos?

What I may use is install El Capitan, and use the photo app to...wait. In fact, this library is a special folder. All your photos are stored inside. You can use terminal to see what it contains.
Then, you need to find a way in mac OS X to enter that folder, copy all your photos outside that folder, and import them back to Yosemite photos library.

I could copy/paste the Masters; but I thought what about all the Photos features I've been using, like iCloud shared libraries or all the face recognition albums or the edits?

it works fine with it disabled. the issue i'm experiencing is only affecting two factor authentication.

a strong enough password is never enough. Passwords can be stolen a lot of different ways. With two factor, I could post my password on the internet, but unless you have access to my phone or recovery password, you will not get into my account.

Well, it is clear that almost every modern citizens own a phone, whether android, iPhone or WP. However, phone is easy to be stolen, while password is not so easy, although I admit there are too many ways sniffing the password while you enter it.
I use a strong enough password and try my best to memorise it ASAP, so I don't need to let anyone know it. Plus, my mailbox uses a strong password as well. Until now, I didn't encounter any sort of account stolen issue.

These should be stored inside those description files. These files may contain fingerprint from El Capitan which may prevent them from being recognised under Yosemite. I think, for some of those features, you can just leave photos update them automatically.

Does anybody know if the graphical lag is gone when scrolling in list view for docked folders on retina screens?

You cannot download anything from mac app store? I have downloaded an app from it. I am in Japanese Store.

No, it is perfectly usable save the fact that the icons are lost. Any idea?

Ummm, right, I have seen it. And I have checked iTunes store and app store. Only app store has this issue. iTunes store is clear. unfortunately I have no idea how to deal with it either.
Since apple DON'T want to release their current best version of software in beta 1 to developer, all what we could do is wait.

Anyone else having trouble with mail from iCloud?

The rest of iCloud is working, but it won't load or connect to my mail
I am having that problem with one of my iCloud mail accounts along with my gmail accounts. A workaround is to to go to system preference and delete it and re-add account, but it doesn't fix. it Permanently.

Whenever I open a page in safari that has a "follow" button for twitter it opens a page with just the twitter button in a new tab. Also Safari sometimes doesn't function well with the trackpad. Left clicks don't work.
