In case you weren't aware, Apple changed the minimum requirements for secure network connections in OS X El Capitan and iOS 9 to disallow obsolete ciphers and certificates with unreasonable expiration periods. If the VPN software you are testing doesn't comply with the new rules, it will fall in exactly the way you describe.VPN Client problems?
Has anyone noticed hanging clients that muck up the Mail client?
I have to fly without mine to send & receive mail. Also, some sites now dog mercilessly.
How can someone seriously sell a VPN client that isn’t ready for the new OS?
Thanks much. Its not a test - its the Private Internet Access client (generally well-rated) that has problems. In case you weren't aware, Apple changed the minimum requirements for secure network connections in OS X El Capitan and iOS 9 to disallow obsolete ciphers and certificates with unreasonable expiration periods. The mobile client still works on iOS & is my main use, but the desktop is a serious pain: Painful Internet Access.
Leaves me wondering where people are left on Cloak & similar clients that go for multiple year access at discounts on some aggregator sites.
There's another way past this: skipping the PKG installer and manually copying libdvdcss to another location SIP doesn't protect that is also a location Handbrake checks for it. These are documented somewhere; exactly where that documentation is I'm not sure.Handbrake requires libdvdcss to be installed which isn't permitted with system integrity protection enabled. If you disable SIP temporarily you can install libdvdcss.pkg. You can then turn SIP back on and Handbrake will work properly.
Doing that is NOT NECESSARY.Handbrake requires libdvdcss to be installed which isn't permitted with system integrity protection enabled. If you disable SIP temporarily you can install libdvdcss.pkg. You can then turn SIP back on and Handbrake will work properly.
Success! Got a .pkg built that installs OK on El Capitan.

What are the permissions needed to edit the first post? It says that the Brother Control Center doesn't work and that it does not connect to the scanner. I just tested it with my Brother DCP-J152W and it does work just fine (and I'm on the latest El Capitan Public Beta).
http://roaringapps.com/app/thunderbirdI don't see Mozilla Thunderbird on either the "Working" or "Not Working" list~~any input would be helpful..it's the only thing keeping me from updating from Mavericks.
Thanks!
Hi, can you explain to me how you got Brother software from App Store? I have Control Center 2.14.0 and I don't see an update option, App Store doesn't have anything sensible with "Brother" or "Control Center" in the name...?I just got a Brother 3.0 software update from the App Store for Brother printers and scanners. I don't use the control center, but my all-in-one (MFC-J8350DW) is working with Apple's preference pane for scanning and printing.
I got a notification from the App Store when checking for updates. I do have a Brother Printer connected and I have downloaded Brother drivers from Apple in the past. Here is an Apple link with information about the update:Hi, can you explain to me how you got Brother software from App Store?
