Doesn't look like he's dragging his feet at all. He just released Cydia for iOS 8! It has to be manually installed since it wasn't included in the jailbreak though. Still, hopefully we should get a Jailbreak for Mac + Cydia version of the new exploit soon!
 
Gonna go out on a limb and say pangu will release a version by the end of the night with sauriks cydia he just released. Just don't expect most tweaks to work yet.
 
At the minimum, everyone who wants to jailbreak iOS 8 should get on 8.1 via iTunes so you're ready to go.

Who knows how fast Apple will release a small point release JUST to negate a JB. Could be quick.

Holy crap I didn't expect a jailbreak to come out that quick! I'm getting my 6 plus tomorrow so this totally made my day :D
 
Rather than a full restore, I'm sidegrading my OTA 8.1 installation to an iTunes 8.1 installation by shift+upgrading with the full IPSW. It's installing now. I figure this worked to get me from 8.0.1 on my 6 to 8.0 when my cell connection got screwed, so I think it does a full install of the firmware. Hoping that gets me ready. I really don't want to do a full restore, so I'm going to sit with it like this until the new Cydia gets packaged in (which hopefully will be quick).

It doesn't do a full install of 8.1, it just updates it.
Up to you but I rather have a full itunes restore 8.1 ios version.
I love my JB devices and the few minutes extra spend restoring and syncing back is well worth it to me.

I'll restore if the jailbreak fails. I highly doubt apple will stop signing 8.1 before Cydia is packaged with Pangu. No sense restoring a perfectly good install because it 'might' require one later.

Its your choice.
But I'm restoring everything now just to be 10000% certain.
You never know how or when Apple will react to the JB.
 
I have cydia now on my ipod touch 5g. None of the tweaks i have tried work yet but at least I have cydia. LOL

I JB my iPhone 6 iOS 8.1 just to test it (it works) then I restored back to original. I plan on waiting until Cydia is integrated.
