General Pangu for iOS 8.0-8.1

Substrate installed.

Springtomize isn't working yet (you can download it if you previously purchased it from your account section). The app starts, but disables itself due to a version check (it expects iOS 7 naturally).

Speed Intensifier works, just has very little options to customise on a per animation basis.

Exciting times :)

I'm kind of surprised there isn't more posts complaining about lack of supported tweaks or stability so far. Normally many will ignore that this JB is for developers to get their tweaks to work over general users for running on their only phone.
 
I'd wait for natural substrate support, but they sure are moving quickly with getting this JB solid.

I'm assuming that a Pangu 1.0.2/1.1 version with Cydia, substrate and some bug fixes is on the horizon before tonight EST.
 
my issues so far...

turned off Find my iPhone
turned off TouchID
turned off passcode

Ran pangu from a windows machine with iTunes open
it failed halfway through each time
ran it like 10x
failed each time

when hooked up to iTunes, 7GB of "other"
restored to 8.1
lost camera roll

to get that back, you think if i use a Time Machine backup to a good iOS backup that camera roll will come back?
 
To me anyone who uses this now has no right to complain. It is a day or 2 old and as said mostly not for the public but for the developers. And yes there has not been much yelling in here but for the normal user like me it should be sit back read watch wait for a stable public release.

I will wait what is a few days or weeks when to get it right is the most important thing.
 
yep, i know what you're saying. believe me, i'm not yelling at all. i'm super happy. i just wanna be on the safe side if i have to restore before apple decides to close this quickly.

Applejuiced aren't you afraid that you will not have enough memory since it's 64 bit and only 1GB ram? I was planning to buy a iPhone 6 but it has to be jailbroken. I'm afraid my apps will refresh all the time because of the lack of RAM.

What's your experience so far regarding RAM and apps reloading all the time?
 
If you are new to jailbreaking or don't even understand the basics at least stay away from this.

It is intended for developers to update their apps, including most essential yet basic functions like Cydia or afc2ad.
Please don't complain if it goes tits up, you shouldn't have been messing with it.

Now to work on updating my stuff :rolleyes:

Also you're willing to respring to get Substrate re-enabled for now?

I'm sure there will be a Cydia update to the untether that addresses this.

Having problems sending pics over iMessage either?

Also can you test color profiles?

I give up (for now) I can't get the blue button on the Pangu screen.

Once things are more stable, and there is a fix for sending photos via sms/imessage I will definitely do the JB.
