That got me thinking of this Mark Twain quote: "The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco."

Yes, I was in San Fran in late July/early August, years ago, and I expected it to be 'warm'. Well, the prevailing winds were coming from the sea, and it was chilly. No beach activity without wet suit, and long sleeve rash guards, etc. 2 days after I left, the wind switched, and it was hot and toasty. *sigh* Not like I needed the Sun access...

Actually, he picked it up at the fence on the other side of the house and put it down to play with it... the lizard ran AND kept its tail! Both my cats are excellent lizard hunters and I usually only let them play with them for a few minutes...

I was horrified to find a desiccated lizard in my scuba bag when I got back from vaca in Jamaica. *URP*?

OH, and bought a packaged bench at a big box store, and after getting it home, found a desiccated lizard taped to the box. No way that was accidental too! SICK SICK SICK... 'Made in China' too. Just disgusting. And the bench didn't even last a year.??? *sigh*

And my cats, I was more concerned with what hideous thing they would drag home, and zip into the house with. I finally got them into being in-home cats. It worked one winter, after having both of them whining and scratching the door to get out. We had a record amount of snow, and about three feet off the deck. I took them, one by one, and dropped them into the snow. Both came running back inside, and never ever wanted to go outside again.? It worked...
