They would bat at each other all the time, but still friends.

Ideally when one is first getting ready to review and edit their digital images they should cull the batch first, immediately discard and delete the no-good ones and keep only the ones which look worthwhile to spend time on in processing. Unfortunately, I'm one of those who is always so eager to look through and immediately start editing the images that I really like that I tend to skip the culling step and as a result have a bunch of large unprocessed RAW files along with the images I actually did edit. I always think that I'll get to the culling "later," but somehow "later" never comes.....
That has happened to me with the files I download for my personal interests (mainly games). They keep expanding, and then I do backups to disc or USB sticks but don't consolidate, and then I have stuff all over.

So late last year I consolidated everything to one pair (not mirrored but I manually keep them in sync for now) of external hard drives and I have so far been good about regular moving stuff off my Mac mini SSD. The next step will be to get an external RAID drive enclosure for a better storage solution.

I'm enjoying seeing pictures not of pets, so I want to issue a challenge to the entire group.
Let's take the next 24 hours and not post any dog or cat picts, while at the same time not reducing the number of posts we make.

The challenge starts now and ends at 8:00pm US EST or midnight GMT on April 2. (Yes. I know that is 24 hours and 40 minutes, but it's my challenge. ;))

You are SO narrow minded ??
Ok, challenge accepted. But I do need to pint out that some animals are considered as pets in some parts of the world while not in others, and I do have example photos. That aside, me, I will do my best to not post any pics of animals during the time of this challenge

No animals -- it's a deal! :D [Aw, Alfred will be sooo disappointed that he won't be featured in tomorrow's POTD thread.....!!!]
the challenge was for this thread, not the POTD ... so, in honor of my cats, I will post a cat picture in the POTD tomorrow ? ? LOL
